Pacifier

Any experienced moms who do not use pacifiers on their child from birth to toddler at all? How do you manage it? Is pacifier really a need? I don’t intend to give pacifier to my baby at all, not even when he’s after a few months.

Me:) You’ll need to find other ways to pacify your child. We used a lot of hugging, talking, baby wearing, etc to keep my child feeling secure. And in toddlerhood, when it came to meltdowns, we used other forms of distraction and took her away from the source of the meltdown to calm her down. Pacifier’s a nice-to-have, but it’s certainly not essential, and I have no regrets with my decision:) (it does take more parental participation and engaging, so just a heads-up. Heh)
