Does your husband always talk to your parents? My husband barely talk to my parent and i do not know why.

My husband do talk to my parents. They are able to communicate well but the one initiating the chat will always be my parents. I have talked to him regarding this. He told me that he is shy and feeling awkward as he do not know what is a correct topic to start on. After telling him that it is okay to join in our chats, he do so pretty well now.
