blackmore pregnancy.. any review?
does anyone take blackmore supplement? How does it help during pregnancy? any review of blackmores?
I took blackmore’s gold/advanced pregnancy and breastfeeding for all 3 of my pregnancies. Main reason being not being a regular healthy eater. I dont really like to eat veg or fruits. So I consumed it to help support the baby. I ate it when i was waiting for first hospital’s appt for my first and third pregnancy and when i was trying to conceive my second one. It has all the nutrients in one pill so i went for it. Especially folic acid. Important to start on folic acid once you knew you’re pregnant. But i stopped eating it once i got hospital’s meds as it’s prescribed. Will continue once I give birth and breastfeeding.
Read moreI bought the blackmore pregnancy and breast feeding advanced when i suspect i was pregnant. when i finally when to KKH at week 7/8 , the dr ask me to stop it first as the folic acid dosage is not sufficient. So i pause the Blackmore, and now taking just pure folic acid. Maybe u can check with your Dr? Also, im a bit sensitive to smell, blackmore pill does have a taste which i dunno how describe. not pleasant to me but i can still tolerate.. its smells a little like vanilla bean. And..... the pill is a bit big, if you are not use to pill, you may need alot of water to get it down..
Read moreI took the Blackmores DHA when the one at KKH went out of stock. I find that the fishy taste is not so strong compared to the KKH one. Usually after I ate the KK one my acid reflux came up like so bad only. Quite scary, would prefer the Blackmores DHA though.
My gynae recommended me to take blackmores’ pregnancy and breastfeeding advanced and I’ve been taking it with no issues so far and am currently 36 weeks pregnant. I would say it’s one of the reliable brands in the market.
hi! I took during all my pregnancies and continue on thru my breastfeeding journey. do take note, if u do take, check on the dosage of each vitamins, minerals as I discovered some aren't really sufficient, like calcium.
Blackmore's iron supplements are the ones I tolerate best. I'm quite sensitive to anything with ferrous sulphate and Blackmores uses iron bisglycinate which is gentler on the digestive system and didn't give me nausea.
I took during pregnancy as I don't like the obimin given by gynae plus I was lazy to eat 2 pills (obimin & fish oil). I rather swallow an all in one pill .😂
I took Blackmore folic acid(first trimester) and VitD(2 per day) during pregnancy as confirm by my gynae it’s alright!
Am taking blackmores folate since w5. Doc says it's good can continue.
expensive and unnecessary
Nurturer of 3 Blessings.
