Baby dreaming

Does a 5 month old baby dream? When my baby is asleep, he cry suddenly and needed to be soothe. Sometimes he can cry very loud like having a bad dream. We had to call his name n wake him up den he will stop crying. Anyone had this situation?

I think they do, it is very common. My girl always wakes up during naps screaming very loudly
