Did anyone use a low lying mattress for infants/newborns to sleep on? Is it safe?

depend where you put ... If in their whole room i think fine. But if in a shared room i think its dangerous.. In afternoon nap as long as someone there to monitor fine . If not i will suggest a baby cot to be safe
