Back pain in first trimester!

Is it common to get lower back pain in the early weeks? I'm just getting into seven weeks and my sacroiliac area or back hip bone already aches making it difficult to bend down or walk! Sorry this is my first pregnancy and my mother claimed she never had such troubles before. Is this normal?
