Car seat for cab?

Is car seat mandatory to have for newborn if we frequently travel in cab or mrt? Given we don’t have our own car in Singapore and no plans of purchasing it.

Hi there, this one you really should check with LTA or call the Traffic Police hotline directly because the rules on child car seats in taxis keep changing, and I don't want to give you wrong info that could land you in trouble. What I do know from other mums is that some taxis have seats and some don't, so it's honestly quite hit or miss. For frequent cab rides with a newborn, many of us just go with MRT when we can because at least it's consistent, but definitely get the official answer first before you settle on what works for your family.
