Can anyone share a recipe please that is sure to impress my in-laws?

I made "kueh lapis" from scratch and it sure did impress my future in-laws! They're not local and wanted to try a local dessert so I decided to make kueh lapis because it's the only recipe I can think of with ingredients that I can actually find in the stores here. Layering the batter, grilling/baking, layering (repeat a gazillion times) was annoying at first (nearly gave up midway) but the result was priceless!
