Just came from my appt at tmc and gynae told me to take down syndrome test. To anyone who's done the test, how much did it cost and what happens during the test?

Do you mean the Oscar test? That test is about 600 plus I recalled . Consists of blood test and scan. Some people who are at higher risk chose to go straight to taking Harmony test which is 99.9 percent accurate. Oscar test has been know to be skewed towards high risk if you are older and gave many people a bad scare !

First trimester screening or Oscar test involves ultrasound and blood test. It's non-invasive. Cost varies at different clinic. A fairer cost should be around $350.

I did the test. about $699 plus gst. It has blood test and a scan. Nothing too invasive. Scan will take a longer time as they need to scan baby features and blood vessels and all
