I felt my baby's first movements at week 16, which is pretty early for a first time mother. It could be due to the fact that many mothers mistake fetal movement as gas or cramps. This is also why second or third time mothers tend to notice fetal movements much earlier as they are likelier to distinguish fetal movements from regular abdominal movement. http://pregnant.sg/articles/first-baby-kick-in-stomach/

I felt my boy at about 17 weeks I think. On some days I get paranoid if I feel nothing so I'll lay down very still and will feel reassured if I can feel just the littlest kick from him. I guess it varies from person to person? I don't remember feeling my older daughter at all up until the last few weeks to delivery.

Don't worry! I'm sure baby is doing fine in there! :) Have you tried lying down and resting for a while? It's easier to feel them that way, http://www.surebaby.com/pregnancy-and-birth/fetal-development/fetal-movement.php

You are so lucky to be able to feel baby's movement so early. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I only can feel the kicks during 20th weeks. I am wondering if it is because my baby size is smaller.

I felt my boy’s first movements around 16w. And it start increasing week after week.

thanks
