NUH or KKH (subsidised)?
#askmommies Hi mummies. I am deciding between NUH or KKH subsidised route. I was with KKH for my firstborn's journey, and heard NUH is a much better experience. How's your experience with NUH as compared to KKH? Does NUH also provide scans with every appointment like KKH? Thanks mummies :)

Hello! I went to subsidised route at NUH all the way till i was 30 weeks. Initially wanted to switch to private as i wanted Class A ward but thankfully i didnt! For checkups i would recommend NUH as its fast and quick and doctors will answer your questions eventhough you are a subsidised patient. (Im a first time mum) I did not give birth at NUH as i had a threaten premature birth at 30 weeks and they told me to go SGH as they have no bed for baby! Was disappointed but admitted to SGH was the best decision ever as the nurses and doctors were SO MUCH BETTER. They were EXTREMELY caring AND the postnatal C WARD has AIRCON so i didnt even upgrade to A ward and saved money + receive money paynow to my acc after the billing and prenatal claims. I highly recommend you to deliver at SGH. I can even name the nurses as they serve you with a smile and patience always eventho if you are stubborn like me. Hahaha Made me sad to discharge cause they were really nice and REALLY take GREAT care of your baby if you wanted to rest after giving birth. I gave birth on Nov 2025 btw. & SGH visiting hours starts at 8am whereas NUH starts at 12pm. So take it from me, Prenatal checkups @ NUH Subsidised route and Deliver at SGH subsidised route. The SGH daily hospital meals were amazing haha. Long post but wanted to share. Oh i chose C ward but they free upgrade me to B1 but C ward charges :) no difference anyways as postnatal ward A-C all is aircon only difference is A ward husb can stay. Attached is the Ward and delivery room for your ref to consider lololol. Good things must share.
