It depends on your company. Kasi sa amin nung nagtanong ako sa hr pwedeng magfile ng maternity leave 45 days before edd. Pwede din smen magextend another 30 days aside from the 105 days na mat leave. Ako magfile ako on my 36th week this march.
Ayon sa expanded maternity leave. Hndi magiistart yung mat leave mo sa araw na manganak ka. You can file it early as long as may 60 days na matitira post natal at di lalagpas ng 105 unless gusto mo extend ng 30 days ulit without pay.
In my case po, nag Leave po ako sa company, Feb. 28, i filled it as Sickness Leave. Because Maternity leave will start on the day na lumabas c baby. And kailangan mo ubusin yung 105 days given by the SSS expanded mat leave.
Me po nkpagfile na ng early maternity leave po 7mos. Last day ko po is march 20, edd ko po is may 18 pa.. Ang alam ko po magstart ang 105 days pag nkpanganak kna e.. 29weeks plng po ako now..
Update : hindi na pinayagan ni company ang extension or medleave man lang 😯 sad news for me pero now i know that matleave can start before giving birth. Thank u mga Mommies on answering
Buti at natanong mo to mommy, linawin ko nga rin to sa HR namin. Para di dagdag stress. Mas okay na may extra days or weeks ka pa with baby and para makapagpahinga ka padin after giving birth.
On my 37th week.. nag start ako mag leave january palang kahit march 20 edd ko.. pero ung 105 days mat leave ko mag start palang kung kelan ako manganak. As per law ganun po dapat.

As per HR nmin sis magstart ang leave kung kailan ka nanganak,yung early leave mo agreement nlang ninyo ng HR or magfile ka ng VL or extend ka ng leave wala nga lang bayad.
Enjoyment of maternity leave cannot be deferred but should be availed of either before or after the actual period of delivery in a continuous and uninterrupted manner.
