I borrowed one from a friend and honestly felt quite reassured hearing the heartbeat, but I'd say the accuracy really depends on how far along you are and if you know how to use it properly. Most mums I know who got one say it's helpful for peace of mind between clinic visits, though some found it frustrating trying to locate the heartbeat at first. The popular brands seem to be Sonoline and AngelSounds, but I'd still recommend checking with your gynae or PD first about whether it's something they'd recommend for your situation, since sometimes it can cause unnecessary worry if you can't find the heartbeat easily.
