Newborn will always cry alot! Really really cry alot. I remmeber we were barely surviving cause our newborn really really cry alot and cry for hourss! Esp from night till next morning. Non stop. But mainly would be hunger, even when they just fed an hour ago - feed on demand, poo/pee - change diaper, stomach discomfort - put oil and massage. Sometimes can also change environment if baby still cry like going outside, or going downstairs. Can also put on swaaddle to make it tight or put on carrier, contact nap. Can buy white noise, sometimes helps to calm them down.
Hi! I came across an Instagram reel on differentiating baby cries and realised that the following quite accurate for my baby. For hunger, it will sound like “Nehh”, the cry will start with N. If need to burp, will sound like “Air”, the cry will start with A. Try and listen to see if it is true for your baby! But otherwise, maybe it’s colic where baby will just keep crying.. try to apply oil and massage tummy. Hang in there!! Situation will improve greatly when baby turns 3 months!
Newborns usually cries when - Hungry - Time to change diapers - Tummy discomfort - Wants to be soothed (carry for comfort)/tired You’ll have to slowly observe your baby’s needs as every baby’s cries are different. You’ll get it overtime 😊💪🏻.
Don’t bother to be able to differentiate the cries. Just stick to feeding and napping schedule (be flexible when needed). It’s like feed-diaper-sleep-feed-diaper-play (massage tummy), and keeps looping. Hang in there. Newborn stage is tough.
agree but : Feed - Diaper - Play - Sleep (Day Time) Diaper - Feed - Sleep ( Night Time) + Done all the above but still crying give abit more feeding ( might be cluster feeding), if still crying bring outside the house for abit of fresh air - might help
it definitely isnt easy... really trial & error over time
