insensitive remarks from husband's grandma

hi anyone encountered remarks abt 'u seem to have became fat' after giving birth for >6 months? my husband's grandma made such insensitive remarks and its really uncalled for. how would you dealt w it if you're in my shoes? don't attend any occasions when she is there lest she made such remarks again? or?

To be honest I won't really take it to heart since she's already in her old age and not like we are staying together under one roof. Furthermore old people tend to be more direct with their words. Avoiding her will only make it seem like you are too easily affected by what she says
