38 weeks induction- baby small

At 38 weeks my baby is weighing 2.4kg. Doc say she’s small. Although she’s healthy and moving I am not leaking he checked and also did membrane sweep all is well (1cm dilated only), he still recommended an induction. I honestly feel it is no necessary. He mentioned water levels for baby is on lower side, and small so induction is best. Honestly I think he was being pushy then necessary! I’m on government route btw so not my personal gynae. What do you guys think? I have to go back on Wed to scan again because he did not want to issue me a longer HL yet.

I went to get a second opinion! So my amniotic fluid was 4.5. Good amount is above 5, above 4 below 5 there is some risk and below 4 is totally high risk. So I’m just in the middle at 4.5. The doc said however baby heartbeat is good so it’s really up to me. Pros and cons of course. I decided to wait because I feel she’s not ready to come out. Back to another appointment on Monday. Wish me luck guys! And thank you for your replies!! Sometimes I feel it’s good to listen to our bodies too. Praying I did the right thing.
