Anong mga test ang nirequire sa inyo ni OB at 11-12 weeks?

Hi, 1st time mom here. Pwede ba ako ang mag ask for nuchal/chromosomal test if hindi sinuggest ni doc? For peace of mind lang sana. Super dami patient ng OB ko medyo hindi na sya proactive, I'm not sure.. wala kasi sinabi sakin na tests I need. Ty!! #march2024

Uy, totally okay to ask! Sa 11-12 weeks usually ang OB will suggest the nuchal translucency (NT) scan and basic bloodwork, pero kung hindi pa sya nag-mention, you can definitely bring it up sa next visit, most doctors are fine with it lalo na if it's for your peace of mind, especially first time around. A few of us moms just directly asked our OBs kung ano na yung tests na kailangan namin and honestly, mas naging engaged sila after na, so don't hesitate to be proactive about your care kahit na busy ang clinic!
