Post partum fat

#postpartum It has been 10mons mula nung nanganak ako via C-section. Pero yung weight ko hindi bumababa instead tumataas. Sabi after birth papayat yet here I am weighing 70kls na. I was 55kls before pregnancy. Nadedepress nako at ayoko na magtake ng selfies or even look myself in the mirror. Kamusta kayo mga moms? 🥺

Mama, alam ko yan ang struggle talaga, 10 months na pero parang ang bigat pa rin, diba? Honestly, C-section recovery takes longer kasi mas malalim ang healing, at marami sa amin dito nakaka-relate sa pakiramdam na parang ang body is not our own pa. A few of my mum friends who also had C-sections said it took them up to a year or more before the weight really started coming off, especially if breastfeeding (kahit nakaka-drain, sometimes the body holds onto reserves pa rin). What helped them was being gentler sa sarili nila first, walking, eating better, sleep if possible, bago mag-worry about the numbers on the scale, kasi stress at lack of sleep lang din puro karagatan. I'd say check in with your OB-GYN just to make sure walang thyroid issues or hormonal imbalance going on, pero mama, you're not alone sa feeling na ito, at your body did something amazing, just give it grace.
