Sleep Trainer in SG without CIO

Hi mummies! My LO is 7 months and has trouble sleeping through the night. He has reflux, so he tends to drink lesser per feed but more feeds through the day, hence he still wakes up 3x for motn feeds. Recently he has also been waking up/fussing when it is not yet time to drink. Im worried he is understimulated or i am not catching his wake windows properly in the day. How do I go on calculating his wake windows? Is there also any sleep trainer or courses who can help me understand how to calculate wake windows and how to adjust timings? I dont mind sleep training but i believe in attachment parenting and dont want to use the CIO method.

I guess you have to set a sleep schedule and a routine asap. If you don’t your lo would have problems differentiating when is morning or night. You can follow asianparent on instagram, they did post how long is the wake time for all ages till 14 months onwards. Baby Schedule for SAHM

Hi mummies! My LO is turning 7 months and I will be leaving my job to take care of my LO full time. I was wondering what kind of schedule do you have for your LO? He has been waking up frequently through the night and Im worried he is very understimulated currently. Any tips for activities (esp montessori based) or websites to read up on will be greatly appreciated :)

Hi! Congrats on deciding on becoming a SAHM. It’s an amazing decision, and for me one of the best I’ve made! Housekeeping- Well if you have a helper, leave all the house chores to the helper, if you don’t, you’ll have to wake up early before LO does and get a head start. During the day it’s really on the go chores. Meals - Do your purées and fridge them every 3 days. It’ll save you lots of time. BLW into 8 mths or so you’ll have to set aside some time In the morning before LO gets up. Morning - go for strolls/walks or pick up some groceries together. Late morning- meal time together Nap time - 2to3hours also your me time After nap - supervised play time 2 hours Dinner time - have your meals together Avoid screen time / music before nap and bedtime. This overstimulates LO. I’m strongly follow montessori play and also gentle parenting. Really works hand in hand. You might want to read more on which works best for you. All the best!

Is breastmilk from EP beneficial

Hello! I stopped latching my son at the 2nd week. I have been exclusively pumping since. I would like to ask if the breastmilk from exclusively pumping is still beneficial for my son? As i understand that latching will signal the body to produce the correct nutrients baby needs…. But I do not intend to latch anymore, so i am wondering if my breastmilk is still beneficial for him? Or is it the same as giving formula? I do not intend to try latching anymore… had a bad experience latching and LCs were not much help. Thanks in advance

Hey Vanessa. Expressed breast milk is still great for baby! Definitely superior to formula milk in my opinion.

Breastfeeding & Csect

Hello. I will be going for a csect as baby is breech. As I would like to start breastfeeding as soon as possible, may I ask for some tips on what are some things I can do to start preparing? Eg do i need to buy any supplements (lecithin etc) to take immediately after birth, pump in hosp or use massage pads?? I’m a FTM so any advice would be appreciated. Thank u :)

Your milk won't come in immediately after birth but only the colostrum which is the first milk that comes out (thick yellowish in colour). It may take days for your milk to come. Just keep latching your baby. Your baby's stomach during the first few days of birth is very small and only needs a few mls of milk to feel full. You also don't need to pump UNLESS your baby is born premature. There will be lactation nurses around to help you with manually hand expressing your colostrum and you can also ask her to help you measure your nipples so you can buy the right flange for your breast pump to pump at home.

Breech Baby C Sect

I’m currently 32w + 3days and baby’s still in breech :( Does anyone have any recommendations on how to turn a breech baby? Any specific things that you have tried and have successes with? I’m also really worried about csect recovery. Does it really take longer and more painful than a natural delivery? #1stimemom #firstbaby

Dun worry still got some time. Baby was in breech position at wk32 too and all i did was talk to baby. Eventually i gave up also but i was open to csec if it really requires, then by all means as long baby is safe. Gynae preempt me at wk 32 that if on next visit(wk 35) still dun turn then i prob nd to go for csec. By then she had already turned!

Confinement Tips

Hello everyone. I will be trying to DIY a confinement once I give birth. But contrary to most chinese families, my family does not believe in confinement practices at all. But I have heard many stories from friends and colleagues about the implications in the future if I do not do my confinement properly, I have still decided to do confinement on my own…. Any tips and tricks to follow? E.g. Can i reuse use leftover water from the bathing herbs pail to wash hands? Or must be solely cooled boiled water? What are some must dos and what are some things that are ok not to do? Will have my family to help with anything, but just that they are skeptical and unsure of any traditional practices. #advicepls #thankyou

Just get a confinement nanny. Solve all ur problem
