2nd child hates me

Hi Parents! I have a 3 years old and a 10 month old baby. My second child hates me for no reason. I can't comfort her, I can't feed her. She only prefers her mommy. As a father, I feel very lost and distant from my child. I know work has been rather busy and I did not spend much time with my second child. Work does not permit extra time spent with her. I try my very best to comfort her during her night time feed and night time scares... I want to ask if this is normal, where she prefers the mother over me. How can I work towards she liking me? A very lost and sad father here....

i’m sure that doesn’t mean ur child hates you. the only thing you can do is to spend whatever time you can with ur child. it might take time but things will improve slowly

Toddler meal time help!

Hi Community! Need some help on how to encourage toddler to feed herself. Baby girl is 1.5 yrs old. She gets very frustrated during meal time and tends to plays with food instead of eating. We tried all types of food. Noodle, rice and soup. Any tips or trick to encourage her to eat on her own? Thank you!

7th mth onwards should be fine

baby not feeding well

Hi Community! My baby is 6 month old, going 7month. Recently, we pull her out of infant care and hired a helper to help take care of my baby at home, due to work related reasons. My baby used to be drinking well at about 160ml of breast milk. Recently, she is very fussy about her milk, and take a few feeds to drink 160ml. Sometime, she does not finish her milk. She does have one meal of solids at night (90ml of puree food) I am kinda worried of her milk intake. Is it because she it teething? Or because she is fussy about my helper? Please help! Thank you!

It could be. Look for the signs for teething. Drooling , fever, no appetite etc Lo is not use to new helper so will takes time. Don’t worry. Can actually pause for awhile n u let lo drink again. try n error.

sitting in pram

Hi community! I would like to ask on how to let baby sit in pram without crying. My baby does sit well or long in the pram and loves to be in baby carrier. However, my baby is getting heavier by the days. How should I train her to sleep or sit in the pram? Thank you!!

Hi instead of training baby can you try and find out why she doesn't like sitting on a pram? Maybe it's difficult to move or it's boring? You can try putting those dangling toys in front of baby. My girl likes sitting in the car seat but dislikes the stroller also.

Transition to formula mill

Hi Community! My wife's milk supply is decreasing and we are thinking of supplementing and transiting to formula milk. How should we do it? Can mix breast milk with formula milk? Or just replace one feed at a time with formula milk? Thank you!!

I would nt mix. Give the breastmilk first then if needed then give formula. Once u mix u need to throw away the milk after one hour. Breastmilk too precious to throw!

Hi community! Was wondering if anyone is washing baby bottle in dishwasher? And if dishwasher tablets are safe to be used on baby bottle? Thank you!

I don’t think should be problem unless bb is very young and need sterilizer But maybe avoid is what I recommend

Thawing frozen breast milk

Hi community! I was wondering how to thaw frozen breast milk. I would like to know the best way to thaw breast milk for use on the next day. Currently, I'm using thawing breast milk by putting the bag into water and leaving it in the fridge. Is that way safe for baby? Thank you!

Baby sleeping alone at night

Hi Community! My wife and I were wondering what is the appropriate age for baby to sleep alone in the room? My baby is a light sleeper and we tend to wake her up when we are sleeping in the room with her. Any advice? Thank you!!!

Can start anytime. Just buy a baby monitor and you can monitor the baby in another room.

Fussy Baby at two months plus

Hi community! My baby is about 2month 10days old, at material time. She is really fussy and me and my wife find it hard to take care of her. When she cries, we tried all methods to soothe her crying. Sometimes, she also is very fussy while feeding. Is this a phase? Is there anything my wife and I can do about it? Thank you! From a concerned parent.
