7 months old eating habits

These few days, my 7 months old boy refuse to eat much. He used to eat Cerelac, Heinz Husk biscuits but now he is not able to finish his food. Is it normal? What should i do? He only likes to eat Baby Bites. #firstbaby #1stimemom

maybe you wanna change food type. its all about trial and error 😅

5 months old baby cough & flu

My baby is 5 months plus and is having cough, phelgm and slight flu. Any tips to help him feel better? Is there medicine apart from panadol? #1stimemom #firstbaby

They cannot take panadol at this age. If you go pd they’ll prescribe saline spray/drop for the nose. They won’t prescribe any cough medicine. You can go pharmacy and buy saline spray to induce the mucus to flow out and use a aspirator to suck it out afterwards. It’ll be good if you have a humidifier at home.

Baby eczema / heat rash on face

My baby boy is 5 weeks old. He started to develop heat rash on his face a few days back. Only on face. His neck and body are doing good. Does ur baby experience heat rash before? What did u do to help? I brought him to see dr and dr said it’s like normal baby eczema and will recover on its own. But i think my baby feels his face itchy. I only apply baby moisturiser to help. #1stimemom #advicepls

my 6 weeks old recently had rash too including neck, so bought to pd and given mild steroid to help..now still recovering...

1 month old vomit like merlion

Does your 1 month old boy vomit like merlion? I experience it yesterday. He used to drink 90ml and it been fine and normal for the past one week or so. But only yesterday, after each feeding, my boy vomitted everything out like merlion for almost 5 times and making me worried. He pooped twice (once diluted, 2nd normal) at night. So far he has stopped vomitted after the 5th time. Did your baby go through such instances before? What did u do to calm your baby down? #firstbaby #advicepls

It’s ok if they have spit up (like abit of vomit). However if it’s projectile vomiting (merlion), pls see doc ASAP!

Newborn Sleeping & Feeding

My son is 1 month old and drinks 90ml (max so far I have tried) every 2 hours. Very rare to be able to stretch more than 3 hours. I am curious how often does your baby wake up for feeding at night? I also hear that baby boy tend to drink alot more than baby girl. Please share with me how much does your baby boy or girl drink at 1 month and how often he/she wakes up at night? #firstbaby #advicepls

Baby boy 2 weeks old. Can drink 80-90ml every 2-3 hours. Fully drinking breast milk.

Remedy Jaundice

My baby boy was put on photo therapy for 24hrs. He was discharge the day after. At the moment, he is still looking a little yellowish (face, eyes). I heard about showering baby with the chinese herbs to cure the jaundice. Does anyone try that chinese remedy and have positive effect? #advicepls #firstbaby

I showered my eldest when he was a baby with the flowers from tmc but it only triggered high jaundice. My premature baby has also been put under phototherapy and his jaundice went up much higher after he was discharged. And for premature babies, it takes much longer for the jaundice to decrease. PD said to keep feeding on demand. Does not matter breastmilk or formula. Baby needs to pee & poop the bilirubin in order for it to come down. Do not put under the sun as I was told many times it's a myth. The sun and phototherapy is way too different. Just keep feeding on demand.

Fear of labour c-section

C-section Process

Any mummies would like to share their c-section process in the operation room? #pregnancy #1stimemom

Aft I was wheeled into the ops room, got prepped for epidural. Had to curl up into a ball as much as possible for the anesthetist to inject the epi to the spine. Was so hard especially with the big tummy and painful when injected. But soon my lower half of the body started to have pins and needles and numb. Then, my gynae came in, he tested to check if I felt anything. Soon, he let my hubby came in. Doc will tell you when he's abt to cut u open and u won't feel a thing. I was abit drowsy somehow. And just before he brought out baby, another doc pushed my tummy from top down. A few mins later, I heard cries. The actual procedure felt super fast! The waiting and prep were longer but cld be cz I was nervous and scared. I was wheeled into the ops theatre at abt 2pm, baby came out at 2.56pm. Didn't feel like I gave birth cz it felt fast and easy 😅 Recovery was not bad too. First day on catheter, bed bound. But 2nd day, started gg to the toilet, quite painful but just pop painkillers and all was well.

Do u rebond your hair during pregnancy?

Anyone did rebonding during pregnancy? I’m on my 34 weeks now and my hair is just getting out of place now. Thinking of rebonding my hair before I deliver. Should I? #advicepls #1stimemom #pregnancy
