OGTT result reference

Hello po. Ask ko lang bakit po paiba iba ang reference value ng OGTT per clinic? Yung pinag gawan po kasi ng test ko for OGTT mataas ang 2nd hour. FBS and 1st hour okay naman. Pero sa ibang hospital normal range ang 2nd hour ko.

Ay, totoo yan! Napaka-confusing talaga ng iba't ibang reference ranges per clinic, a few of us mums actually had the same experience, and honestly, it's because different labs use different testing methods and reagents, kaya ang standards nila ay slightly different din. The good news is na okay ang FBS and first hour mo, so that's a positive sign, pero since ang second hour ang concern at may discrepancy between clinics, I'd really suggest checking with your OB to interpret your specific result in context ng overall health mo instead of just comparing numbers across hospitals. Pwede ring i-recheck if kailangan, pero iyong doctor ang best person to advise kung may action needed talaga or kung normal lang sa reference range ng lab na yung baseline.
