is it normal to have spotting period when on 5 weeks pregnancy?

ive been having stomachache and back pain lately.. i had spotting 4 days ago and it stopped but now it had started again and so far its the 1st underwear that got a drop of bloodstain .. my ob-gyne said that its normal having cramps and back pain but now um kinda stressing out when seeing blood on my underwear ?
