Amount of screen time

What is an appropriate amount of screen time for a 4 year old? Find it tough to totally avoid screen usage during this period of time.

On most days, at most 10min? 😂 Whether HBL material or some story/song. On Sunday, my daughter watches The Treasure Box stream, so that’s about 45 minutes. My daughter’s really into other stuff though, so it’s not difficult for us. She keeps asking for worksheets to practise writing 😂😂 so I bought her a tonne of stuff. She plays toys and reads too. I do agree, that, for kids that love the screen, it’s a lot harder to control screen time when they’re at home all day. Maybe space it out throughout the day so that your LO gets to rest the eyes in between?:)

Screen time for kids

Is there’s an increased screen time for your kids during this period of circuit breaker? How are you managing it?

Definitely yes, we know it's unavoidable for our sanity 😅 but we try our best to regulate it. I don't allow more than a total of 1 hour during the day which can be any time both mummy & daddy are really busy. And an additional half an hour at a set time before bed time. Some discipline is helpful and we know the LO will likely asks for it often, so we try to not give in too much unless necessary.
