1yo refused to drink water

My 1yo girl just reduced from 4 to 3 formula feeds a day to encourage her to eat more. However, she refused to drink any water and gets badly constipated. We tried using her cup with straw, my cup with straw, milk bottle, she just struggles to get away without tasting. We also tried giving her a tini cup to sip but she chokes on the water. Tried sippy cup, refused to touch. Warm, cold, fruity water, all nope. Only time she drinks some is when I use soup spoon to feed, but she gets bored after awhile too. Help!!😭

My 7mo sleeps at max 9 hours at night and wakes up 2/3 times. This means if she sleeps at 8pm, she wakes by 5am and refuses to go back to sleep! Her combined naps in the day is only 3+ hours. Is this normal? Any advice on lengthening her sleeping hours?

My baby is 6mo but still cannot sit. Is it ok to feed her any solids? Does it have to be puree?

Have you check with your PD? Like many, my PD cleared my LO to start solids at 5.5 months. If not, the rule of thumb is that the baby have to sit up by himself/herself for at least 1 min without rolling over to start BLw

Crying before bedtime

My 3mo baby is used to being carried and rocked to sleep. However recently, despite having ample naps and keeping to her usual routine and observing her awake period, she cries very fiercely when carried like she is in pain and refuses to sleep. Yet she stops crying and can even smile when we put her down (she doesn't fall asleep though and will still start crying if we leave her alone). We tried carrying in various positions but nothing works. Her tummy doesn't seem to be gassy and we have already made sure she's fed and diaper changed. Any idea what can be causing the crying? I only heard of babies crying when put down, not when carried, we are v perplexed..

That is very unusual and unheard of. How long has it been like that?

My 3+mo baby, around 6kg, is still waking 3-4 times a night to latch. I can tell sometimes it's just for comfort because she only latches for 5 mins before falling back asleep and doesn't suck very hard. Is it safe to start weaning her off the feeds at the age or do I need to wait till she's older? I cannot force her to drink more in the day, she will gag if I insist. She also doesn't take pacifier, we tried various brands and shapes but she rejected all.

Hey Mummy, it's a bit too early to start weaning her. Usually you need to give at least 6 months before weaning. Maybe try offering the pacifier when she relaxes, usually after a feed. Hope that works!

Clean baby nose

My 3mo baby doesn't latch properly when her nose is block. PD and friends suggested to clean baby nose using Sterimar and nasal aspirator. However, the Sterimar spray is so strong! The dirt usually ends up going up the nose and down the throat. My baby also cries when I suck with the nasal aspirator, I think it hurts her. Mummies, is it necessary to use the nasal aspirator with Sterimar? Any other methods to clear the nose?🥺

i recommend u buy suction bulb pigeon brand from ntuc. Good and easy to suck out any mucus.

Infant care no aircon

Hello, anyone knows of any infant care that does not have aircon in the west area? My baby girl is really sensitive and tends to have blocked nose when sleeping in aircon

This happen to my baby too…… cause we dont sleep with aircon at home! So whenever we go aircon place after that she’ll be having running nose! Didn’t think much into it but now that I see this I guess I’m not alone….

My baby girl is 3mo and had been latching and drinking from bottle since birth without any issue. In the past week I have increased the frequency of latching and she suddenly rejects the bottle, she seems to choke everytime after taking a few sips and refuses to take more. Anyone faces similar issues before and any advice on how to make her take the bottle again? I read online to let someone else do the bottle feeding so my husband tried but so far it did not work too.

Had this issue also and we tried to change the nipple level. Maybe you can give that a try. And also she only drinks from bottle when I’m not around and not formula milk.

Vagina stitches

It's 6 days after my normal delivery and my stitches still hurt a lot, with sharp pain when sitting and sleeping. Is this normal?
