Singapore My First Skool Infant Care

hi. anyone sent your infant to infant care when they are as young as 4 mo? Does anyone have experience with My First Skool infant care? what kind of activities they do with infants as young as 4mo? Can share any positive/negative results on the baby, especially in terms of development, after sending the baby to MFS infant care? #firstbaby #firsttimemom

depends on which branch. honestly my sis sent her boy at 2 months to My First Skool near her house and she is not happy that the teachers there are not attentive enough. she felt that they did not sanitise their toys and furniture as my nephew was unwell for 3 times there in a month.

Can my own mother coexist with the confinement lady?

I'm giving birth soon. I hire a confinement lady via an agency. My mother said she wants to come and stay with me to help out during my confinement period. I do appreciate having as much help as possible. However, my mother has some traditional thinking about confinement and is pretty opinionated. I'm not sure because I'm afraid of conflicts between my mother and the lady. Dilemma. What should I do? Appreciate if you can share your experience. #firsttimemom #advicepls #firstbaby

I would suggest that your confinement lady care for you while your mum handle your newborn. Otherwise you should discuss with your mum and don't trouble her way unless assistance required from the confinement lady. Though mum has experience, on the other hand a confinement lady would know much better as they have been taking courses, experience and knowledge. While most mum feel worried, it would be good to explain to her what are the things the confinement lady will be doing or what is included in the package taken. And tell your mum/confinement lady to work hand in hand if at any point during the confinement period. As much as we need to be healing, we also do not want any conflict while recovering.

Must we sleep on our left duribg pregnancy?

I read online articles here that it's recommended to sleep on our left during pregnancy. However, sleeping on my left causes serious acid reflux. Sleep on my right reduces the acid reflux. Is it ok to always sleep on my right? #pleasehelp #firsttimemom #advicepls #firstmom #1sttime_mom

Left right all ok. As long as not too long on the back will do.

No appetite and still nauseous at week 21

I am already in my 2nd trimester and yet I still have no appetite to eat most of the food. Though no vomiting, I feel nauseous almost on a daily basis, especially towards the evening. Have been having diclectin but it doesn't eradicate the nausea. What to do?

Keep having stomachache but can't clear out

I'm at my week 17. After today's lunch, I started to have stomachache. Went to try to clear stomach but a little came out. Kind of soft, close to watery. Then the ache stopped. After a while the ache came back again, went to try to clear stomach but again only a little bit came out. This cycle happened about 4 times and I'm in the toilet as I'm typing this message. Anyone experienced this before? Not sure if it is normal or will impact my womb or not. Advice please! #firsttimemom #advicepls #pleasehelp

Might be constipation, if this persistent you can ask for lactulose to soften bowels for easy pass motion. Do not force yourself to push to avoid abdominal pain.

For working mums, do you slow down at your work, take more MCs during pregnancy?

I'm at my week 12. I find myself slowing down and taking more MCs than normal due to constant fatigue and nausea. Feeling guilty. I'm haven't informed my company about my pregnancy and upcoming maternity leave yet. When do you inform your company about it?

Yes i feel the same. I told my managers at week 10 as i started feeling bad taking mc for medical check ups. They’re very supportive. I find it hard to focus and it has affect my productivity.

I saw my gynae at week 7. The next appointment will be at week 15. Is the interval too long?

I thought we should see the gynae for checkup every month during first and second trimester?#advicepls #pleasehelp #1stimemom #firstbaby #pregnancy

Thanks for your advice! i went to walk in and have a check up with another gynae on Wednesday.
