What type of Chinese traditional herbs help to boost fertility?

I remember an older auntie at my workplace talking about this chinese fertility herb called the "dong quai" (hope i spelt that right). Apparently it is like a ginseng type herb that is said to help balance estrogen levels and improve the chances of embryo implantation thus helping you conceive better.

If you do tcm for fertility must you stop other treatments for fertility?

You can use TCM to "prepare" your body for IVF. Some TCM herbs and treatments can help with the successful implantation of embryo, which I believe is the most delicate part of IVF. But always best to discuss both treatments with the respective medical practitioners just so you don't cancel one treatment because of the other.

How will taking TCM to conceive affect my child's development as opposed to a child who was conceived without the use of TCM?

Is there a difference? I thought TCM, like other methods of fertility medicine will help you conceive but after that, you'd still need to take similar precautions like every other pregnant mother. I tried to Google this issue as I am very intrigued by the issue but I can't find anything concrete. The closest would be this article about how the nutritional needs of an expecting mother and her growing child is viewed differently through the lenses of TCM.
