Hi, I'm planning a holiday in Taipei with 2 kids in December. They will be about 7+ months and 5.5 years old. Anyone has reviews on Eva Air with kid in terms of their bassinet, service and food for kids? Any recommendations on where to go in Taipei will be appreciated too! TIA!

According to the EVA air website, baby bassinets are available and you will need to provide baby’s date of birth, height and weight when you make your reservation (refer to the link for the dimensions of the bassinets available for each different aircraft). I need help with a question not related to parenthood, wonder if anyone can help me. My spouse and I have a property loan for 5 years and that time we were both working. Now 5 years later, only 1 of us is working and so our combined income has drastically dropped. We are now thinking of refinancing or repricing our loan to get lower interest rates. We tried applying for refinancing with a different bank before and it did not go through due to our low income. Here are my questions: 1. If we apply to reprice with our current bank, will the bank check on our current salaries? 2. If the current bank checks our salaries and finds out that our income now is a lot lower than 5 years ago, will they go to the extent of recalling our loan? Most grateful for any advice. I dare not ask my current bank these questions in case they work against me.

I don't know if this is true for mortgages as well but I believe that's how it works for credit cards. Once your credit is approved, the bank is not obligated to check it again unless you give them a reason to. It's on your to tell them your income has changed, but if you don't tell them, they don't have to actively check you. And obviously they don't actually want to know so they try their best to NOT know. (Yes it's screwed up...) but if you tell them, then they are obligated to check and change your credit limit. I think this may not apply for mortgages though, am happy to make a call tomorrow to my mortgage bank and ask to see what they say, am curious to know also!

I stumbled upon some WhatsApp messages on my Husband's phone. He was in BKK last weekend. The content to his friends was the recommendation of a dirty massage parlour in BKK where he said he "just goes for a shower". I know that this massage parlour is definitely a sleazy one (Google and message content says so). Our child is barely 4mths. He usually deletes his messages and I didn't manage to save them. How would anyone go about this?

Just curious, why did you allow him to travel there without you and your child who is only 4months? And from what you say in the content, seems like it's a phrase guys use to go to places with extra services other than massage.

Hi mummies and daddies, I'm thinking of bringing my kids (3.5 and 1.5 yr old) for a short 2D1N trip to Bintan or batam. Any kids friendly and nice resort would you recommend? Thanks!

Batam would be a better choice since your kids are still young! Bintan is more on water sports!

My mother in law constantly nags at me and goes out of her way to show me how unhappy she is with me! I do my best to help her around the house but there is always something she manages to pick on! I get so frustrated at times and I try to speak to my husband about it but he does his best to neither listen nor do anything about the matter. I'm worried and I do not know if my marriage will last. . .

It seems that no matter what you do, she will find fault with you. Hence, I suggest you really sit and talk to your hub about it as this is his mother. Your mil might feel that u r stealing away her son or u r not as good as her in caring for your hub. My friend's mil was like that and the breaking point was, mil scolded her till she cried. The couple eventually moved out and it actually helped the situation.

Hi does you gals have problem and confict staying with in laws? Now having stayed together for 12 years I feel very depressed and just diagnosed with adjustment disorder issues staying with in laws.

I noticed 2 weeks before my menses my immunity falls and my skin tends to be dry and feel weaker. Is it normal?

Oh yes, that's normal. Happens to me too -- I get super tired on top of all my mood swings. I also get the worst body aches. Before and during your period, estrogen levels are in a jumble so dehydration does happen, hence the dry skin. The weakness is a very common symptom of pre-menstrual blues. My best friend would say, "our bodies are about to bleed out... of course we are tired" whenever her husband asks her why she is so weak and "lazy" during this period haha (#men). Rest well, get enough sleep and try to stay as positive as you can. This all, will pass.

I have been married 17 years and am at my wit's end! My Husband is driving me insane. I can't even tolerate being in the same room as him! Being from the Indian community, I'm well aware that a divorce will bring about gossip. We have two boys and he's always showered me with extravagant gifts to appease me. His flaws are that he's really possessive and I've finally reached my breaking point. Controlling and honestly always felt a part of me being repressed. I know that my boys and I will be in a happier place without him. Any mummies who have been through a divorce? Any advice appreciated.

Have you tried speaking to him? Is there any chance a marriage counselling may help? Sometimes, having a third party will greatly help a couple work through issues. It sounds like he is still making some effort at making things work. Being too possessive and controlling are behaviours that could be worked on.
