How much milk should an 18-month old with a normal appetite be drinking?

if he is eating well, can just drink 2 times ie 180ml per day. This was recommended by my pd too.

What are some ways to raise kids to be athletic?

if u live close to a park, then take ur child out to play there. if there are more of his age group then arrange for play dates and timing in the park. if no park around then join a sports club which have regular sports activities lined up like tennis, badminton, cricket etc...but keep in mind ur child's needs and limitations.

Does anyone have any idea how does the selection on PV is done ? The primary school (SHPS) I am interested to send my child to has hundreds of PV applications - only 70 gets shortlisted for further interview . Half of the shortlisted will then get the PV slot. I do not live within 2 KM of the school, neither do I join grassroots or have any affiliations to the school. Is it nearly impossible to get a PV slot ?

Here's an interesting article about the parent volunteer scheme. There might be some useful information in it. http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/primary-1-registration-5-things-to-know-about-the-popular-parent-volunteer However, alot of schools have gotten rid of this scheme and this article was written in 2014. There might be more schools following suit since then. Best to check with the school you're interested in.

My LO 15mo she is too active.(she will move around non stop for 1-2hrs w/o resting down) At their age right now it's too early to detect if they are consider hyper active?

How to change sleeping timings of my 4yr old ? Being vacations,he sleeps late and wakes up late. Next month his school begins. he is to reach school by 08.15am and stay there till 3pm. By the time he will reach home it maybe almost 4pm. He requires 10 hours sleep at night. now he sleeps by 11pm. Thanks in advance.

Now that the vacations have just started and there's a still month to go, do not take stress so much in advance. Enjoy the vacation and let him enjoy the time that is not strictly bound by the clock. And when there's a week or so for the school to re-open you can begin setting his routine by putting him to bed on the set time. And when he would sleep by say 9 or 10, he would wake up on time as well. This is something all parents go through when the vacations start. Even my son's school re-opened today and to be honest I was equally tensed as how he going to be back to his routine, but he did, and yours too will. Just don't stress so much in advance, and enjoy your extended timing of sleep as well.

How can you encourage a toddler to be much more receptive to mathematics before school?

Agree with the answer above. Make it a habit. Ask questions that relate to counting e.g., how many birds do you see, how many crayons are there in the box? Which stick is bigger, who is taller? Questions like this make mathematics a native language for the kid.
