What are some of your favourite board books for your little one?

I like Eric Carle's books. His books are very colorful and there are rhymes baby will catch it very easily, e.g. Brown Bear Brown Bear What do You See, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

My Lo likes to cry when it's time to leave a place or stop playing and go do something else. How do I get him to calmly transition?

I believe in empowering your little one. Let your bub know that it is almost time to go and tell them to choose one more thing to do. This will give your baby a few minutes to adjust to the fact that fun time is almost over as well as give them a feeling of control.

Someone gifted me a sound book - the story is accompanied by different sounds for each page that describe what's going on in the story. Anyone know where I can buy them here?

Any tips to take out good family photograph shots?

If you want to add some visual interest to your shots, try tilting your camera to the side for a fresh angle. The technique is also especially effective when you have straight lined subjects (think trees, a fence or a field of tall flowers). Don't be afraid to experiment with different degrees of tilts until you find what works.

What are the best source of proteins for vegetarian children? How much should be the daily intake for different age levels?

On top of what has been mentioned by Nooraini, you can try Quorn if your child is above a year old. Quorn is a vegetarian source of protein. Quorn is a mycoprotein, which means it’s made from fungi, such as mushrooms and not soya based like textured vegetable protein. I've personally tried quorn and it tastes really good. My vegetarian friends in Sweden do feed their kids Quorn products on top of other sources of proteins like quinoa, corn, spinach, tofu and nuts. However, do note that some people have reported allergic reactions to mycoprotein, but this is rare.

My mother in law wanted to bring my 16 month old son to family event out of town. Due to work issue, me and hubby can't attend the event. Is it safe to baby in that age travelling without parents? And what should i prepare to make my mom in law easier? They stay for 3 days.
