Any stalford learning centre review at Jurong point basement 1? Looking for Maths enrichment for my P2 kid

My 3yo daughter never got her hair cut/ trimmed cos she wants to be a princess and princesses have long hair. But it's hot and her fringe is long. How do you persuade your kids to go for a hair cut at the hair salon?

Is there any kid salon near by? My daughter refused to go as well but we took her to kid salon and there are so many toy to catch her attention and it works!

Are toddler activities like swimming, music, art etc really necessary?

Are toddlers scared of the dark? My 18 month old sleeps alone in his room. Should I be leaving the light on?

My boys are okay in the dark. They know that once its dark its time to sleep. You can leave a night light on if thats what would ease him and let him sleep.

My 13 month old loves to fall asleep on an adult size pillow. We usually take away the pillow once he's asleep to avoid SIDS risk. At what age is it safe for kids to sleep with pillows? And are there pillows designed especially for kids?

Hi mummies, my 2 yo takes forever to eat her food and she likes to keep food in her mouth like a hamster. I always have to remind her to chew her food. Most of the time i need 2 hrs to feed her and this is really frustrating. I try not to lose my temper but is like testing my limit.

Perhaps it helps you have fixed eating schedule for your child and during said meal time, aim to keep to the time and avoid distractions like TV, toys or talking to your child. My friend would usually takes her child for a stroll in her pram after mealtime and this motivates the little one to finish her meal so that she gets to go out and spend some time seeing the "birdies".

Does your toddler throw tantrum very often?

Though it is not rare to see toddlers doing that, I'd want to know if you understand reason for the tantrums. Is it for something she needs that you didn't get her? One way I can suggest would be to divert her mind. You can start ignoring her, making her feel confused and worried why you don't give her heed. Meanwhile your hubby can try to get her attention. Hopefully she might change, and will be more accepting

I have a 4 yr old son. He is aggressive towards younger kids than him. He is the only child with no small cousins etc around us . Even in playareas he will hit the ones younger to him without being incited. On seeing them he will push, hit and kick. Even if strangers smile etc. he will reply on unfriendly tone saying No. Otherwise he is a normal, hyperactive but very intelligent and observant of his surroundings & people. Is it because I slap/spank him whenever he is aggressive with me. But if I do not hit or spank/slap him he pinches etc badly. He will be joining an International school this August in Singapore and I am worried as to how he will be with kids their. He is short-tempered. I am very fed-up.
