Teach my 4YO confidence

My daughter is 4 and attends pre-school half day. She is a happy, imaginative and active child at home, but not very open to people she doesn't know well (getting her to say Good Morning to strangers can be a struggle sometimes). Recently she came home from school telling me that the other kids from her 'girls group' don't want to play with her anymore. She repeats that for days now. She doesn't give a reason, just says they say 'no' when she asks to join a game or sit next to them etc. She then goes off and plays alone. I spoke to the teacher about it and she said that because my daughter is only half day and not full day, the other girls, who are mostly full day, bond deeper and I should consider sending her full day as well. I am trying to tell her that she should make new friends in class, that there are other kids she could play with but she doesn't want to. Either they are boys and play rough or they are too young, or they speak a different language or etc etc. When we are outside at a playground she rarely approaches any kids by herself and even is shy when we meet friends with kids she knows. I am wondering what I can do to make her stronger so she stands up for herself and makes new friends. Her personality is more shy and quiet - I am aware I cannot change that but what can I do to support her? (It might well be that this hurts me more than her)

Hi mamas, I’m first time sending my toddler to play group. May I know how often do you usually get updates from your childcare center and to what extent? Do they share updates daily about the activities they did, how well they eat, sleep etc. Also do they share photos? #childcare #playgroup #firsttimemom #preschool

Updates for activities like their portfolio will be updated through school portal apps. While normal updates like daily activities, pee, poo, shower, nap will be during pick up time. But this depends on individual school or policy. If teacher communicate with parents personally then it will be through Whatsapp or school portal apps. You can always ask on/off during pick up period.

as a teacher to 13-16 year old high ability boys, I would say the best school is home itself. it doesn't matter which school you send your child to as long as you possess a growth mindset towards your child's aptitude and character development. aim to develop resilience and responsible risk taking in your child, and he can soar anywhere :)

I saw this Wawayaya Joyreader app on the Lazada platform. Would be worthwhile to buy it for children? But my parents say reading is necessary, its worth, one of my friend intro me said it is good to use, her child will self-study because it is able to find the child's reading record and improve Chinese. The description mentions, able to reading, recording and pronunciation tests more intelligent by using sound technical support. Also, come with edictionary can select Chinese or English explanation. About the price is once a year, and every month increase the storybook. Still considering. . . >
