which month shall stop eating folid acid

I'm in 14 weeks now. Shall I continue eating folid acid?

Currently at 14 weeks , pwede ko po bang ituloy ang pagtake ng folic acid kahit may prescribed na multivitamins na si OB?..

C section at kkh

Hello mommies.. Can we choose to have a planned C section at kkh? Or do the gynae push us for natural delivery? I’m hearing both types of feedbacks. My worries is , we will end up having C section only after normal delivery fails and get the bill for both normal and caesarean. Can you pls suggest me your experience if you have given birth ? Thank you..!

I did not delivered at KKH but my colleague’s wife got a planned C Section at KKH.

Things to buy at week 27 pregnancy?

Is it too early to buy anything to prepare for the baby at week 27 pregnant? What should I buy/prepare?

Buy all the heavy stuff first while you still can because after 32weeks you'll be very tired and fatigue

Itchiness during first trimester

I have been experiencing itchiness everywhere from my scalp to my body to my palms and feet soles. And when I scratch, the itchy areas become bumps like hives. Anyone else experience the same? If so, is this normal?

Yes! I experienced this on my forearms, keep putting moisturizer and it will go ahead in 1 or 2 weeks. Otherwise can go see gp for anti histamines

headache n nosebleed

i am 16 weeks pregnant.. Is it normal to always have a headache and nosebleed?

Not sure about nosebleed but giddiness and headaches are quite common. I realised I feel giddy when I’m hungry and have headaches when I don’t drink enough water. You might want to monitor and see what’s the issue for you.

CMV positive pregnancy

Hi mummies.. does any of you have CMV virus during pregnancy? Can you please share me your journey and outcome? I know the virus and what’s like. I just would like to hear some positive sides.. thank you much

Hi ador, sending you so much love first because I know how scary and lonely this diagnosis can feel during pregnancy. 🤍 I haven't personally experienced CMV in pregnancy but I wanted to share what I've learned because I know how much it helps to hear from others in this community. The most important thing I want you to know is that not all CMV positive pregnancies result in the baby being affected. The risk of transmission to baby depends a lot on whether it's a primary infection (first time getting it) or a reactivation, and primary infections in early pregnancy carry a higher risk than reactivation. What doctors typically do is refer you to a maternal fetal medicine (MFM) specialist who will monitor you closely with regular fetal growth scans, checking for specific markers like brain calcifications, liver issues or growth restriction. Many mummies who test positive go on to have completely healthy babies. At birth, a newborn urine PCR test is usually done to confirm baby's CMV status. The most important step right now if you haven't already is to ask your OB for a referral to a MFM or high risk OB so they can properly assess your specific situation. Every case is truly different and having the right specialist by your side makes such a big difference. Really hoping some mummies who have been through this personally will share their stories with you here. You are not alone in this. 💛
