Chances of csection stitch need to reopen back

Aside from infection on the wound, what are the chances of hospital having to reopen our csection wound and stitch it back up? Im still having muscle pain mainly in the lower abdomen, middle and right side (pelvic) and a little swelling not on top of my incision but the lower abdomen above the incision. So far no fever no pus etc wound is dry. And im so scared theres infection or something on the inside and they have to reopen the stitch back up 😣😣

Honestly, wound reopening is not that common unless there is a clear infection or breakdown happening, and the fact that you have no fever, no pus, and a dry wound are all reassuring signs. That said, some internal muscle soreness and swelling in the lower abdomen in the early weeks after a c-section can just be normal healing, since there are several layers of tissue that were cut through and are knitting back together. Still, I think it is worth going back to your PD or the hospital that delivered you, just to have a doctor physically check the wound and rule out anything internal, because peace of mind alone is worth that trip. It is always better to have it looked at and be told everything is fine than to sit at home worrying.

I just can't help drinking too much water cos of the weather. Then my hands and feets will swell.

Swelling in the hands and feet after drinking a lot of water is something worth paying attention to, because it could be a few different things like water retention, circulation, or something else going on. On one hand, the hot weather does make us want to drink more, and some mild swelling can happen, but on the other hand, if it's happening regularly it is probably not something to just brush off. It might be good to bring this up with a doctor, just to be safe and rule out anything that needs attention.

Private or public route

Hi mummies anyone has experience to share on whether it’s better to go private or public? I’m in a dilemma as private cost seems to be much much higher. But public seems like each time you go for appointment have to wait quite a long time…

Honestly, even private the wait can be quite long. If the wait is the inly concern, i would still stick to subsidized

Recommendations for Anaesthesiologist for Thomson Medical

Any mummies have recommendations for anaesthesiologists in Thomson Medical (TMC) ?? First time mum here so not sure which one is better! #firsttimemom #advicepls

Congrats on your first pregnancy! From what I've heard around, a few names come up quite often for TMC, Dr Chan Shaw Yan and Dr Paul are both mentioned positively, and my neighbour who delivered at Thomson said Dr Chan was very calm and reassuring, which really helped her relax before the epidural. One tip that came with that, apparently inhaling laughing gas before the epidural goes in does help take the edge off, so don't be shy to ask for it. I haven't heard strong complaints about the anaesthesiologists there generally, more that experiences can vary depending on who's on call, so it might be worth requesting your preferred doctor in advance rather than leaving it to chance. Overall the feedback leans positive, just good to go in with a name or two ready so you feel more settled.

Short Nasal Bone @ 20 weeks

I just completed my detailed scan at 20 weeks and they detected a short nasal bone @ 2mm. My NIPT was low risk but I'm super worried. Has anyone had the same experience? Thank you!

I had the same issue during my pregnancy. Throughout the scan the nasal bone can barely see. I give birth to my baby 3 months ago & his a perfect & healthy baby. Nothing to be worry about.
