Baby doesn't take full feed after nanny left

Hi mummies, FTM here. I'm worried because my 6 week old baby who was initially taking 120-130ml EBM per feed has not been able to finish the bottle right after our nanny left yesterday. He's now only drinking 80-90ml, and fusses a lot. Could this be colic? What should I do?

maybe ur baby fuss is because there is gas during in btw feeding.so ur baby asking you to help to burp.coz I also get to learn this from my LO yst.She suddenly fuss in btw feeding.After burping,she allow me to continue to feed with lesser fuss..Or either u are swaddling ur baby during feeding probably can remove the swaddle during feeding. Hope this helps you.

Fussy newborn

What to do when baby don’t want to sleep and be fussy/crying non stop? Burped after feeding, diaper empty, swaddled, carry and walk him around the house or room, rock him, white noise, pacifier on (but when he’s fussy he likes to reject pacifier or take it out with his tongue). Any advise pls mummies sometimes i would cry when he cries cause idk wht he wants

Leg numbness after delivery

Hello, anyone experienced leg numbness after delivery (with epidural)? It’s been a week after delivery and my leg is still having numbness that hasn’t improved. Anyone who shares the same experience and know what issue it is? Anything you have tried can help to improve it? How long does it take to go away? Thank you :) #pleasehelp

Most mums I know found the leg numbness sorted itself out within 12 to 24 hours after the epidural wore off, so a week in does sound like it's taking longer than the usual timeline, that part I won't sugarcoat. A friend of mine actually had numbness and pins and needles that dragged on for several months postpartum, and she said it just resolved on its own eventually, but it was genuinely worrying while it was happening. From what I've generally heard, it can sometimes be nerve-related from the delivery itself rather than purely the epidural, and in rarer cases it has taken up to six months for full sensation to come back, so try not to panic but also don't just wait and see indefinitely. Honestly, a week with no improvement is the kind of thing your doctor really should know about, please do flag it at your next check-up or even go sooner, because a specialist can rule out anything more serious and give you proper guidance specific to your situation.

My baby is 5 days old, is it ok to start on tummy time ? If yes, whens the best time ? He’s feeding on 3 hourly, and most of the time he would just sleep after feeding. For this when’s the best timing to do the tummy time ? In between feeding? #FTM #firstbaby

Day Confinement Nanny?

anyone has experience hiring a day time confinement nanny? meaning she doesnt stay in the house, only comes 9am - 6pm? my house has limited space... hoping to know whether it is a good idea to have day time confinement nanny or better to go for full-time... if full-time can she sleep in living room on mattress?

A day confinement nanny can work well if your space is tight, since she still handles the key daytime tasks like cooking your confinement meals, bathing the baby, and giving you rest during the day. The trade-off is the nights are fully on you and your husband, which can be really exhausting in those first few weeks especially if baby is cluster feeding. Some families do put the full-time nanny on a mattress in the living room and it works out fine, though it really depends on how comfortable both parties are with that arrangement and whether she is agreeable to it. I would say talk to a few agencies, be upfront about your space situation, and see what they suggest based on their nannies' preferences.

Baby keep crying for hours non stop

Yesterday was the first day we brought baby home , day 4 of baby, and it was the worse. From evening until morning, baby cannot stop crying no matter what we do, we carry him, we fed him, changed diaper, put baby oil on stomach, swaddled, given pacifier, nothing works. His eyes are just wide open and keep crying bloody murder. Is this normal for newborn to be like this and what do we do ? As we are first time parents we are very helpless and clueless. 😔 Really very stress and i feel useless as a mother that i cant do anything. Esp now im still recovering from e-csect. Have you try giving him a pacifier? Or swaddle him? When my baby had colic, I got her a yaolan (baby hammock) to help soothe her to sleep.

feeding problem

My LO is 3 months (2 months adjusted) sudden feed drop from 110ml - 130ml to only 30ml - 60ml per feed. idk whats causing this. Generally he pees & poops ok. no fever, not sick. changed the teats, still the same. is it the milk? is he bored of his milk? is this just a phase? #help1sttimemompls vas happeninggg

Hi mummy! U can try changing the milk. Or like mine, i divide his feeding portion. Lets say he supposed to take 120ml, i divide it into 30ml in 2-3hrs. Then he will finished it up.

Not able to take care of baby after birth

Is it normal to not take care of your newborn the first week or first few weeks after giving birth ? My husband and mother in law handles the baby fully as of now. I went thru csect and not able to do much other than rest and recovering as im still in pain and i feel very useless im not able to take care of my own baby. Any mummies feel the same

How to create CDA account

My baby has been born, and we have registered baby bonus & his birth cert thru lifesg app. But how do we create his CDA account ? Or once registered birth cert it will also create cda account ? Am really clueless how this cda works #FTM
