Add salt & sugar to baby’s food

At which month did you introduce salt and sugar to your baby’s food ?

1yo (outside food). No sweets and chocolates. I don’t have the habit to cook with salt and sugar, I use chicken stock powder instead 😅.

Baby catnap 15 mins

Is it normal for young babies (3m) to cat nap even as little as 15 mins ? 2-3 times a day. Sometimes can go 30/40 but sometimes only 15 mins then he would wake up and refuse to sleep again I sometimes also want to rest while he nap 😣

Training baby to sleep unswaddled, but constantly gets startled

Is it ok to let baby sleep/nap unswaddled even when they get startled multiple times ? Also called as moro reflex. Already put bean bag on chest but still gets startled by his hands falling and moving.

LO currently 1month old and hates to be swaddled. So we didn’t swaddle her and she sleeps freestyle which she really loves. When we swaddled her, she would make grunting noises, cry, etc. Indeed there were times where LO got startled a few times and woke up but eventually she slept back on her own.

Is multiple spit ups normal

Is it normal for baby to spit up milk multiple times a day? Sometimes few mins after milk sometimes even after an hour or two. Sometimes small amount sometimes medium amount sometimes big amount. But not Merlion vomit kind. When gg out always have to stanby atleasy 4-5 bibs

It could be reflux or gassy tummy therefore the milk spits. My #2 I regularly massage, feed different position and continue to burp. I change milk bottle too. She stops milk spits from 3/4 moth onwards.

Covid vaccine for 6 months old baby

Anyone took their baby for covid vaccine once they reach 6 months and whats the side effect?

I dont take any covid vaccine for both my kids. But I do take flu vaccine for them. If they take before 5 years old it will FOC.

Until when to burp baby

Hi mummies, ftm here. Until which month do we need to burp our baby? And do they learn to burp themself after that?

I stop burping my LO after 5 months. If they dont burp, they fart.

A curious random question, pls do not scold or throw hate at me. A genuine question from a first time working mum, who is still new to everthing. My baby just started IFC, sparkletots. And in the app sometimes they would update in portfolio of what your LO did in “moments”. Photos of teacher reading book to them etc. Do they really do the activity (reading, painting etc) or they just do for the sake of photo and done? Cause when i was picking my son from ifc, i saw a teacher taking pic of an infant’s activity, painting bt as soon as theyre done with the pic, they take the brush from the baby’s hand and then put him down from the chair. Like for show?

What do you mean by “just do for the sake of photo”? Like, for show? As a primary school teacher myself, nonono, that’s also a lot of work 🤣 So it doesn’t make much sense. But seriously, there are preschools that do that???

Formula fed baby poop watery is it diarrhoea?

What is considered as diarrhea for baby? Full formula. If baby only poop once on that day and its dark yellow watery, is it already considered diarrhoea? If baby poops watery stool 3 times on that day ? All mostly after milk and large amount of poop. But most of the days the poop is normal only some days its like that.

Diarrhoea means poop right after milk and soil diaper at least 6-7 times, watery and butt start to have nappy rash. If baby poop once a day or 2-3 times a day and as long as no blood, not watery poop it is okay. It should smooth poop at least.

2.5 month old baby spitting yellow liquid with milk after burping

Hi, my baby normally spits up after drinking milk and burping. However, he had been spitting up some yellow liquid with milk for two times today. Does anyone know if I should be concerned about it? Baby is in formula and breastmilk. Both spit ups today are after drinking breastmilk. Thanks in advance!
