Does anyone send their infant/kid to sam's learning centre? Its located at river valley...price is attractive thou. But not much review recently. Care to share anyone ? Thanks !

I'm afraid I haven't read or heard much about Sam's Early Learning Center. Just know that some expat parents enroll their kids there before they are old enough for international schools. The school itself is pretty small and the environment is nice and gentle for young kids. I've also read that a parent was pleased with the pre school syllabus but not the kindergarten's. Apparently as soon as her kid reached K1, the emphasis was more on learning and not so much on play. The learning aspect were unrealistic as her child had to learn spelling and math sums that her child was not ready for.

Anyone can share how many packets of herbal bath should be prepared for confinement ? And how many bottles of rice wine ? And what other things to get for confinement ?

Hi Koon Lim, I bought these much and still got leftover because I dont really follow the confinement rules. Herbal bath: 12 pkts (bath from day 4) Rice wine: 15 bottles (still have 5 bottles unused). Some mummies can finish lots of rice wine, so it really depend on your consumption. It's best to prepare more than not enough.

Hi would like to ask, currently i suspect i'm having postnatal depression. Where can i gt help? Do i need help? I been feeling irritated by small little thing, have a mum tat has depression before. Have one elder daughter turning 4 , and a newborn turning 2 months. Been cutting wrist last time whenever face prob. Now turn to tattoo for the pain relief. When tattoo i feel the relief and wan do it again. Is this the sign?

my first baby has eczema. thought it was allergy or sth but realised later on it's inherited from my hubs. now im expecting my second kid. do I need to abstain from certain food?

Even though its hereditary, you can go for a skin prick test. My boy has eczema as well.. Hereditary. However i brought him to kkh to do the test and turns out, egg and heat was his worst enemy. My second boy has it as well and i have yet to figure out the cause of it.

My 12mth LO took MMR jab 6 days ago. she has no fever but develop rashes all over her hands and legs since yesterday. she is still active and eating as per normal. Is this normal or should i bring her to see PD?

My son just turned 1 year old a few days ago and I am planning to start introducing him to cup milk feeding instead of bottle feeding. Is it too early or is there any tips to help this transition of bottles to cup? Thank you.

This si shen brown rice powder is said to improve baby's appetite. If so does that means that overweight baby are not advisable to take it?

Hi, one of my friends mix this with soup and also with breast milk. She only adds a small amount and is not too concerned about it affecting her baby's weight. She wanted to try because a lot of her friends recommended it as one of the first food options to introduce to her baby as it is very nutritious.

Considering to host my baby 100 days at a pinch of salt in Katong. Any review? How's the food?

Came across this blog entry that provides a good take on the venue to host a party. The blogger celebrated her baby's first year birthday there. She had a pleasant experience when it came to the planning process.
