I am flying off this weekend, and I don’t have enough BM frozen for my Little One. I am short of 1 day worth of feed. I will be gone for 1 week. I plan to FM feed baby for the shortage. Should i introduce 1 feed a day for that 1 week, or should I just do 1 full day (say the last day) of FM?

The baby might not be able to take a sudden change of milk taste. For me, I would introduce fm earlier before flying, to my baby. At least baby can adapt to the taste.

Hi,would like to know how much of milk do u usually managed to pump at 3 weeks pp?

Hi mummy, at 3 weeks pp.. each session of pump I can only manage to get about 5 to 6oz.

My daughter is currently 1.5 months.. Starting earlier this week, she has been very fussy midway through nursing. She would jerk her whole body n kick her legs, and pull off from my nipple while breastfeeding, but after that she would cry for milk again, and when she suckle back, the same thing happen again.. I'm at a loss, totally no clue on why she behaves like this.. Any mummy can help ?

High chance is colic. Colic is quite common among infants. There is no particular reason as to how babies get colic. Well, as they are young, they might not know how to dispel wind out of their body yet. Try burping baby after each meal or in between feeds. As you are breastfeeding, the way the baby latch does play a part too.

I am going back to work in 1 month time. Any suggestion on how to build up my bm stash before I go to work? I am a low yield mom, who is supplementing my baby with fm once-twice a day.

In my experience, the key to pumping was to start at least two weeks before my anticipated return to work. Don't worry about not having enough milk to nurse your daughter with pumping. Mother Nature is a genius! I found it best to pump either immediately after a nursing session or about halfway through the baby's long nap.

I am a low yield bm mother who is supplementing my baby with fm once/twice per day. I am trying to let baby latch as much as possible and pump 4 hourly. My baby sucks almost 1-2 hourly with no standard timing/ schedule. Sometimes even shorter interval. Problem arises when baby cries when it's about my time to pump, making me to miss my pumping session. Anybody has the same problem with me? And how do you cope with it?

I can understand your stress and frustrations. Try to stay calm (can be tough but have to try) as stress can reduce milk supply further. Try your best to manage your baby needs and pumping session. Yuna is right about pumping when baby is napping. You can try to take food that is believed to increase milk supply such as dark chocolates, oats and papaya fish soups. My LO of 6 mths just started having fussiness in latching after having blocked nose. Is there anyway to let him latch in peace like the past? #parenttown

I found that the baby's position matters,especially if he has blocked nose. You can try nursing this way: you lie down on your back (raise your body about 45°) while baby's tummy is on your tummy. It is a bit tiring though. Hope this helps!

Is it ok to heat up frozen breastmilk in storage bags (honeysuckle and tommee tippee bags) using kiinde kozii warmer?

Im using unimom bags, i just dump it in the warmer and let it do its job.

Spare parts are hard to find in shops - needs to be bought online or in kiddy palace unlike Medela which is found everywhere. Otherwise it's an excellent pump ;)
