I most likely have food poisoning cause I'm having diarrhea. can I still breastfeed my baby? what medication can I take?

Dat time i had similar stuff and still breastfed. In fact, before we knew it, our bodies have already produced antibodies to help us counter and we are bfing our lo during that time without knowingly. Charcoal is fine else you can take 100 plus or H2O. It works for me though.

Hi Mummies n Daddies, I've been direct latching my LO since birth and now she's 3.5 months. Yesterday I tried to give her formula ( Nestle Nan ) but she totally rejected it. she's hungry and crying like hell but just wouldn't drink it. Any ways that I can get her to drink Formula and BM together? Thanks

Please advise which milk bottle to use so that my LO ( 1mth+) will not reject latching?Recently notice that when I bottle feed him with excess BM and when I latch him ,he seems to suck for comfort only and not actually sucking my breast .

I'm using Comotomo and Tommee Tippee :)

My stand alone freezer needs more spaces. It has reached the maximum capacity of storage for my breast milk. These two days, I have been clearing my earliest supply from Feb 2016. I have mixed in the portion of 70% old chilled bm and 30% new chilled bm (Both at same temp before mixing). After every feeding, my lo seems very happy with the milk. Showing sign of smiling and very satisfied look. As such, he is making eh eh sound after each feeding to show that he wants more. I'm really puzzled. Why is this so? Or it is coincidentally he needs to wean soon? I did many milk bathe before, probably >10 times. I notice my old stash of frozen bm are more oily then new stash. Why is this so? My lo is 5 month and 3 days today. He is a boy and I'm an exclusive pumping mum.

The greasy or soapy substance, it could be lipase. Lipase is responsible for breaking down the fat in the milk. If there is an excess of this enzyme then the fat gets broken down to quickly after being expressed thus resulting in the change. The milk is not harmful, and most babies are not bothered by the mild change. But the longer the milk sits the more obvious the taste and smell becomes which then will result in the baby most likely having an aversion to it.

Hi all, how do i bring back 25 packets of frozen breastmilk from shanghai to singapore? Taking SQ and flight is about 5hrs+. Tried calling/emailing SQ but no formal answer yet. Any experience to share will be great. TIA

From my understanding, bm are usually ok to transport. Remember to have yr ice pack with u and ur bm storage bag. Do alert the staff in case of anything. Had done that before and didn't face any issues.

is hindmilk better than foremilk?

They are not different types of milk; foremilk refers to the milk at the beginning of a feeding and hindmilk refers to milk at the end. The latter has a higher fat content than the former. Studies have shown that there is no major distinction between foremilk and hindmilk and the change is very gradual and subtle.
