Mamas, is it normal for that my baby loves to fiddle with my nipple while nursing? He is 13mo and has been doing that since he was around 10mo. Do you let your babies fiddle with your nipples or do you stop them? I try to stop him every day but he will protest (esp when sleepy). What can I do? Thanks in adv!

yes it's normal. My toddler still does it. I will tell him no and remove his hand away. He will cry and throw a temper. But i still be firm with it,

My breastmilk supply dropped by more than half after my menstruation. Will supply returns back to before ?

I pump 3 times a day now,, and my supply drops dratiscally. 1/3 of my previous yield and can hardly pump 300ml a day now. Does that mean I need to drop my pump further ?

if you drop ur pump futher. meaning you are dragging the time duration which might yield lesser amount of milk.

How to convince the whole world the importance of breastfeeding? Esp when ur bub is preemie BF is so important. But my mom and everyone else ask me how to know the amount LO drink? Why not express out and "measure" then let LO drink? I dun mind expressing but u know it's double the time.

Just ignore. Believe in yourself. My husband been asking me how much LO drinks since birth. I just said i don't know. he is putting weight and growing well. So don't bother to know the volume

How can I breastfeed my baby who has a cleft lip?

Hi You can perhaps help assisting the nipple in the baby's mouth and press it inside. Hold the nipple throughout till the time baby is suckling. Else litlle milk may keep drippingout of his mouth.

I'm very worried now. For the past few days my lo going 5 months doesn't seem to be getting much milk though she latches and unlatched when she's done. I worried that I'm not having let downs and no milk. She has much lesser wet diapers. Even for 8hrs the diapers are barely wet.perhaps jus one time pee though she nursed twice. I feel that I'm not doing good enough or well enough and I'm getting depress already. I'm mentally and physically exhausted having to go thru these - nurse and check diaper nurse and check diaper. Baby seem to have lost weight too from the looks of it and by weighing him thru carrying. Bringing him to the pd tomorrow and I feel that I'm not good enough to cause my baby to lose weight. Ps: he seem contented after feed and doesn't want to latch anymore. I'm feeling so lost right now. Sough LC advice but someone I got ignored.

Hey dear, sometimes babies lose weight not because of insufficient milk. You did the right thing by bringing him to the pd tomorrow. Let them check and hear them out. Do not beat yourself up.

My 20 mth old drinks 60-70 ml of ebm at childcare , but drinks abt 160 ml if it's freshmilk. He's 3-5 percentile ... should I provide freshmilk in school ? Or just a few days of bm like 2x a week ? Don't know what to do with the rest of the milk tho. I'm still pumping once a day. Not confident of dropping to 0 for now , worried won't have enough

Or maybe give less but more frequent feeds and see if he takes more?

mummies who're pumping at work, what are sort of office attire which facilitate dual pumping? dresses or separates? I bought some pro-breastfeeding dresses, only to find out I can't do dual pumping in them (bf = one breast at a time, while dual pumping = both breast at the same time)..

For me dresses as well Easier to access haha. Also you can wear blouses with buttons or those stretchable tops would work fine.

Hi, does any mummy continue to breastfeed without pumping at work? How do you keep up with the supply especially during weekends and how old is your kid when you stopped pumping at work? My kid is 2+.
