Hi, I am returning to work from Monday to Wednesday. Thursday to Friday will be on ML. LO will be with my mom on Monday to Wednesday. Can anyone advise on the arrangement for bm after I return to work with the above schedule? E.g which day of bm do I pass to my mom and which day is to keep for Thurs and Fri consumption when I bring LO back home? I am a just nice supply Mom, all chilled milk. No fbm. Thanks!

You can keep bm chilled up to 5 days, so Thursday's milk can be used till Monday and Friday's bm can be used till Tuesday and so on. For Thursday and Friday you can use Sunday's and Monday's bm. Hope this explains.

Hello all mummies, My girl is now 7mths old fully on bm (latch and bottle) and we just started introducing solid to her. She doesn't seem to like to drink from bottle since 2 months old partly because of confusion btw latching and bottle (i was wrong to listen to confinement lady and mil to introduce bottle at 2wks old because she has no problem latching on). We have been trying so hard all the while in order for her to drink from bottle but now she seems like having milk strike or bottle strike. What i understand from mil she only drink 3 times from 8am to 7pm in a day for about 100 to 120ml, either bottle feed else spoon feed most of the time. Meaning in the day time she drinks appx 360ml + 2 times of cereals. On a side note she will latch at night from 9.30pm onwards (when i back from work), she will latch in the mid night too. May I know if she is having bottle strike? Is she drinking enough? Of cos she is not losing any weight but i am just afraid that she is not drinking enough for her to grow better. Have been working so hard to pump at work. Thanks to advise ~

Don't worry mommy. Is she taking well to food? Kids will not stay hungry for too long. They will definitely look for it if they need.

My newborn has watery flaky poop and not runny poop. Normal? Total breastfeeding.

Want to ask how do you pump at night while DL? My 3 mo only drinks one side and goes back to sleep. It is too tiring to pump after I feed her and put her back to bed which take about an hour. Thinking of buying manual pump but scare it will make so much sound.

have you tried hakka? it's a suction pump. you can pump while she is latching!

Both of my breasts are engorged but baby only latch on one side for few mins and unlatch. I dont have a pump currently. Tried hand expressing but couldn't. What else can i do to relieve?

perhaps u can try massaging them in circles before hand expressing it so that it's not too "hard" to squeeze the milk out. u should be able to find useful videos on youtube. would suggest u to get a pump asap else it may lead to mastitis. i had ever went so engorged that it took me 2 days of frequent pumping to get rid of the swollen lumps in the breasts.

Hi mummies, I have 2 month old baby and I am on BF. I have craving for steam crab, but had reservation. Does crab affect the baby? And does it also help in milk production? Thanks

crab doesn't affect baby. and sadly it doesn't help in milk production! tried before it doesn't work! no harm eating!! i feast on chili crab!

Hi mummies. I am currently exclusively pumping for my baby but have been replacing one or two of his feeds with formula as it took me some time to establish my supply. I have been feeding nan ha but realise i cant finish a tin cos my supply is catching up and the brand doesnt come in smaller tin. I intend to change to enfamil a+ for that reason and also i find his poo really smelly but it could also be my bm. My son is just 2 mths old. Is it ok for me to change fm like that? I wouldnt know if he can take the new fm unless i try it out but is he too young for me to test his tolerance?

Since your supply is already kicking in, you may want to consider forgoing the formula. Give bm on demand. If you still want to give formula, you can mix half of each formula together and feed baby.
