Any tips n tricks for breast feeding/pumping breast milk?

Hi mummies. I'm a ftm and im not sure on breast feeding. I've tried but is difficult for me to get a good latch... and I'm not able to express out much milk either. but i want to be able to express more milk... i just gave birth on the 12th April. any mummies have advises n tips for me??

Breastmilk after 6mth

I was told by my sis-in-law that i should stop feeding my LO breastmilk after he turns 6mth. She has 3 kids of her own; the oldest being 3.5yo. And because of this, my parents think she’s right and advised me to stop at 6mth also. What i read online was i could give my LO for as long as i could. Is the benefits really not there after 6mths? And i have plenty of frozen milk in my mini freezer, threw lots of bags to make way for new bags. It seems like i had been saving for nothing?

If you have breast milk just give. No need to stop :)

Drink lesser breast milk

Hi, my lo is 6 mths old now. Haven’t start the solid yet. But my lo drinks lesser ebm compare with last time. Before that she can drink 130ml to 150ml per feed. But now only drink about 100ml. Most of time have to wait she sleep then just can feed her.

Are you feeding your LO more frequently? Or you’ve started to mix feeding ie introduce formula milk and breast milk?

How many of you mummies out there pump 5 times a day and still maintaining milk supply well?

Yes. Milk so much supply that LO can take one or two baths with the breast milk at the end of each week. feeling blessed

Exclusive Pumping Mummies

Just want to hear some opinions from those exclusive pumping mummies, do you girls have stretch marks on both breasts? Mine are quite bad since pregnancy, and now it spreads to almost whole breasts. I felt so upset whenever i look into the mirror. Saggy + ugly boobs! ??

Try putting on stretch marks cream or bio-oil before you go to bed every night. Might work to reduce stretch marks over time.

any 1 here drink mum's milk during breastfeeding? do u put on weight?

Yes I gained weight. But it's a healthy way to gain weight as breastmilk is nutritious.

Refuse to drink EBM from bottle

My lo is 5 mths old now. Don’t know why she suddenly refused to drink EBM frm bottle :( She is hungry and eat her feet n suck her fingers. But she just don’t want feed frm bottle.im only able to feed her once she sleep. Please help. :)

I just realized I have stretchmarks on my breast!!!! I am really upset by this as I have no stretchmarks anywhere else - please tell me it will go away after breastfeeding. How do I minimize it? I feel like my breasts are ruined. (Gave birth 8 weeks back).

Mums, how do you deal with FBM rejection? My LO does not like fbm - she howls and screams everytime I feed it to her
