I latch my one wk old newborn approx 20 mins on left and 15 mins on right, usually I stop when he fall asleep and stop sucking even after I wake him up. After awhile he cry again and ask for milk :( how can I tell he had enough milk for the session?

Horigen breast pump by ourlittlelamb

Came across this new site shared by friend.. facebook.com/ourlittlelamb which link back to ourlittlelamb.com Looks good n reasonable priced.. anyone tried? any sharings?

after comparing n much thoughts.. bought 2 unit of horigen. She uses Chicture (the yellow one) at home which have separate pressure adjustment between left and right, planning to bring Grace (the black colored double pump) to work and outside since it is light, quiet (quieter than the other brands we check) and with long battery life of 3 hours (claimed equivalent to 6 pumps.. but not sure about this yet). Total SGD320 for 2 units during the singapore expo event.

My baby doesn't really like to latch on me after having drinking from milk bottle. Any ways that i can get her back to breast feeding?

More skin to skin contact with baby, comfort and talk to her, dont rush into things. It takes time and patience but eventually they will feel your love, don't give up!

Exclusive pumping

Any exclusive pumping moms here can share your experience when going on a trip with baby? I’ll be going to Bali with my 5 months old baby still on all milk. I do exclusive pumping in Singapore but it’s going to be difficult to pump every 3 hourly overseas and there is sooo many things to bring around :(

Bring stroller along. Bring portable pump so you can pump on the go with nursing cover on

I still have sore nipple & slightly flatten nipple after nursing despite my lactation consultant says my latch is ok. Anybody has the same experience? If yes, how long will it get better?

Most nipple pain improves in 7 to 10 days, even without treatment.

Breast engorgement

If only pumping out milk to feed baby by bottle and no latch on, will breasts still get engorged? Was thinking to switch to total bottle feeding.

Been latching my 5 days old newborn for feeding but stopped for one day due to swollen and cracked painful nipples. Any remedies? I wish to continue latching him though.. does nipple guard helps?

Apply nipple cream just before and after feeding (no need to wash off before latching). I found that it helped greatly. Some people have experienced that baby stops latching to natural nipple after they tried nipple guard.
