Baby hitting me during latching

Our baby just recently started hitting my face, chest and pulling my spectacles when he is feeding (2 months)...is that normal? He sucks furiously and loud during bedtime. It just seems very strange, and he is our first so I have nothing to compare to. Will that make our baby an impatient or hot tempered as he grows older?

how to start breastfeeding & maintain supply? When should i start pumping & storing etc? i’m a first time mum here..

Right after giving birth! But breast milk may kick in later, each mum is different - mine only came on the 5th day. Latch on demand. Pump every 3-5 hours. Keep hydrated & don't be stress! To increase supply, try milk boosters amd power pump.

Hi mummies, I'm currently DL my baby. I will be returning to work soon. I aim to pump 3 times during work every 3 hourly. However each pump only yield 1 feed for baby. Baby will require 5 feeds when I'm away. Anyone in the same situation can advise how to get the 2 feeds? Baby wakes up 2-3 times at night for milk so I can't pump motn.

Try to increase your supply and keep stash. You can increase your supply by after latching pump. Bm works in supply and demand mode. As your baby get older you don't need to pump 3 hourly to get the supply you can even hold up to 6 hours. It will be easier for you too. Another way to collect milk is to use haakaa when latching the other breast will have milk leak collect them.

Baby refusing to latch

Help me, breastfeeding mummies! My 5 days old bb is refusing to latch. I had given in to top up fm while in the hospital cus I didn’t have much supply initially and I can’t latch him well (short nipples as told by LC) and he kept crying. So after coming home I started to pump out and bottle feed. Now I have the supply but he doesn’t want to latch at all. Once he suckle a few times he will start to cry already. Is there any way to make him latch now? I really hope to direct latch in the long run instead of pumping. Please help!

I have no solution except that familiarity breeds! So keep practising. Also want to give you some encouragement! A fed baby is better than a hungry baby. You are already doing your best! Fighting!!

Does anyone experience flat nipples breastfeeding ? Do they have to rely on nipple shield forever during breastfeeding ? Cause the baby does suck from the real nipple, she struggles and kick..
