No breast milk for baby

I just delivered my baby one week ago. Until now I have no breast milk for my baby. Every time I pump only one tablespoon of milk . Stress . Any tips ? Mummy

Hi, What are é difference between freemie and handsfree Spectra cups?

Can recommend me any handsfree cup for Medela pump? do i still need to buy different tubing or other additional accessories? TIA. #1st time pumping for 2nd child

i heard from my friend, spectra is a better choice. i personally did not use Medela. I used Avent however my friend who uses Medela says get spectra and its comes all complete. U only buy parts if the excisting parts are spoilt.

Hi, i just gave birth around two weeks ago and I've breatfeeding already. Sometimes my breast and nipple area have this sudden sharp pain. Isit normal?

Hi, it could be due to wrong latching and cracked nipples. You can try applying nipple cream to help with the pain, and also ensure that the entire nipple + part of the areola is in baby’s mouth while feeding. Then you shouldn’t get the pain:)

Am I doing it right?

Hi mummies, I’ve kept up with a growing stock of breast milk in my freezer that is 10 days ago. What I’ve been doing is continue with my current pump and freezing my newly pumped milk while feeding my baby the older batch of frozen milk. Is this okay or i should always give freshly expressed milk? Another thing is by freezing the milk means I’ve to get alot of storage bags which are not so environmental friendly and costly… plus they take up fridge space. Advice or comments?? Ps: I’m not latching my baby yet as she doesn’t like it. #plsadvise

Giving frozen milk is totally fine! You can even give ur baby frozen BM that is up to 1 year ago but optimally, use within 6 months. If baby is fine with ur frozen BM, don't really need to give fresh milk. But u may also alternate fresh and frozen for different feeds just so tt baby cld get the best nutrients and antibodies frm ur fresh BM at certain times of the day. There are other kinds of reusable milk storage bags but it's kinda hard to find in SG. Can try searching online. Or use Avent milk storage cups, though tt will take up more space in the freezer. For me, sometimes I use the milk cups if I just want to chill in the fridge but gotta use it within 3-4 days. Or u can use food cube trays. I used this in the first month when I was battling with low supply. I cld barely fill even half of the storage bag. So I poured my milk into 2oz food cube trays. It was rather convenient too as my baby was drinking abt 120ml so I just had to take out 2 cubes to warm it up.

Increase milk supply

Hi I’m a FTM, EP, just nice supply Lo is 9mth not latching since 2mth My supply sudden drop drastically She is drinking 900-1080ml per day When recently my supply is 700 per day Now using freezer milk. I tried power pump, fenugreek, lactation cookies but still no use. My breasts feel empty… I’m desperate for milk!!! Any more ideas on how can I increase my supply? I hope to give her BM till 18mths

Nipple size shrink due to pump session

Can your nipple size suddenly shrink when you pump often? I just bought a new set last mth but think my nipples has shrink cos I can't feel any pain when I set my pump to a high level of suction like I used to feel.

Hi hun! Don't worry it happens, to me too. I learnt the hard way! i didnt know that i could change the flange measurements to suit me and so i remembered having to squeeze my breast on to the pump flange and rest my breast a certain angle and a certain way so that the pump could pump the milk out from my nippies. Torture lol! so.... You might want to change your Flange to fit you better.
