Youha wearable breast pump

Anyone using Youha Gen 2 breast pump? 1. How was it? Is it good? 2. Any leaking? 3. Is the motor/suction sound loud? 4. Is it bulky/heavy? 5. Does it hurt? #firsttimemom #advicepls

Oh mama, I totally understand the struggle of finding the right pump, especially when you're a first-time mum and everything feels so overwhelming! When I was nursing my second one, choosing between all the wearable pumps nearly drove me crazy, so I really feel you on this. From what I have heard around, the Youha Gen 2 is quite well-liked, one thing people really appreciate is that it comes with two flange sizes (24mm and 28mm), which is actually quite thoughtful since fit makes such a big difference for comfort and output. The heated flanges are also a nice touch that mums seem to love, and the app control plus decent battery life (holds up to about 6 oz) makes it convenient for hands-free pumping while you go about your day. My friend tried it for a few weeks and said the suction is reasonably quiet and it empties pretty well without feeling painful when you get the right flange size, though she did mention it took a little adjustment to find the right settings at first. On the downside, a few mums have flagged some reliability concerns after a few uses, so that is worth keeping in mind if longevity matters to you. Hi, FTM here. I’m 2 months PP and my period has resumed. Gynae said it’s because I’m doing combined feeding. Will this affect my breastmilk supply?

no it won’t. i breastfed till 1 year even though period came back early

Hi mummies, those with low supply I’m wondering how long did you breastfeed for? I’m 2 months postpartum and my supply has been pretty much stuck for the last few weeks despite trying many different supplements and food products :( feeling demoralized as tried a lot of effort and remained positive to increase all this while. Is there still hope to increase supply at this point?

Care to share what kind of supplements and food products have you tried? I’m a first time mom trying to boost milk supply.

Breast milk sour after warming

I feed my baby expresses breast milk in the day and direct latch at night. However, when I heat up my expressed milk, they occasionally smell sour, even though it was expressed the day before. What’s the reason? Is it spoiled?

did you refrigerate the milk? because milk only lasts 24h in the fridge

Ground flexseed and brewer's yeast

Does anyone knew where can we get ground flexseed powder and brewer's yeasts in Singapore? Appreciate if anyone has any good lactation cookies recipes to share too please.

Oh yes, I totally understand the struggle, I went through the same thing when I was trying to boost my supply and wanted to bake my own lactation cookies from scratch! I actually managed to find both ground flaxseed and brewer's yeast at Phoon Huat, which carries baking ingredients and is pretty accessible if you have a branch near you. A mum friend of mine also mentioned she picked hers up from Cold Storage or FairPrice's health food section, though availability can vary by outlet, so it's worth calling ahead. For the recipe itself, the classic combo is rolled oats, brewer's yeast, ground flaxseed, butter, eggs, chocolate chips, and a touch of brown sugar, just bake at around 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes and they turn out really well. Some mums swear the brewer's yeast makes a noticeable difference, though a few did mention the taste takes a little getting used to, so starting with a smaller amount in the recipe is not a bad idea. How to store expressed breastmilk

This is my first pregnancy and would like to gain more knowledge on how to properly store breastmilk and their lifespan. From what i read, theres 2 ways to store breastmilk(if you dont intend to give your baby straightaway): 1. Chiller, normal fridge 2. Freezer (im using the normal 2 door fridge with freezer) How to determine when to store our expressed breastmilk in chiller and freezer. For chiller and freezer, how long can the milk last? And if we wish to store the breastmilk in chiller/normal fridge, do you still put in storage bags or just put in bottle. Fyi im using a 2 door samsung fridge. Right is normal fridge, left is freezer, as below #advicepls #firstbaby

How to store expressed breastmilk

In normal fridge, I usually store in those expressed bottles so it’s easier to pour out. If not in milk bottles provided u have enough bottles to circulate. Those are to be consume within 48hrs. If u got too much supply or feels won’t use within 48hrs can just put in freezer using bag. Just remember to label the time n date of milk.

Flange inserts measurements

Im a first time mom-to-be. From what i see pumps usually comes in bigger sizes like 24/28mm however i have a smaller nipple and need to buy the flange inserts. However im not exactly sure how to calculate the right flange size. I know theres a ruler for it but I googled and a some say add 4mm to your nipple measurement some say 2mm. Anyone knows? And is it best to buy before or after delivery? #advicepls #firstbaby
