Freeze baby porridge

Hi mummies, can I freeze baby porridge after cooked with broth and some vegetables. Which reheat when need to use it. Is it ok #firstmom #advice

Fibroid 4cm detected at 21 weeks

Im worried it can harm the baby. This is my first pregnancy. Out of sudden they found this and im getting worried abt this. Im just worried if it may grow. Or any of my lifestyle such as food consumption has brought this upon my baby 😢 anyone been such situations before. Any traditional or any ways we can do to avoid the fibroid growing #firsttimemom #advice

Infant care or own family member to continue taking care better?

Hi! Just seeking some advice and opinions whether getting own family to take care is better or put baby in infant care better... hmmm... While waiting for infant care slot, my mom actually quit her job to take care of baby. Now that infant care slot is available, would you all recommend to put infant care? Just a little background- my mom still work part time on those days we don't need her help (we try to be hands on parents as much as possible n we do give my mom allowance and she is alright to work part time too). Delimma now.. we already paid deposit of 2k for infant care though cos at that point of time they want us to pay to secure a slot Reason of delimma are - I work shift, and it started as early as 7am or as late as 11am, sometimes got to work PH too, no wfh option. My partner on the other hand work fixed shift and also can wfh 2 days but have quite a few online meetings here n there. When my mom take care she would come to our place and help out n once we end work we immediately take over.. it's easier as we don't need to wake baby up / pack or get ready to go infant care (around 30mins from our place).. . & I would say that my mom is still in her early 50s so I felt that it's still too early for her to stop work entirely just to help us take care of baby.

I personally prefer IFC care too. main reason is to avoid the differences in parenting style…can confront IFC staff for any concerns with baby but on the other hand, it is challenging to confront own mother when things happen. Secondly, also agree that the age appropriate activities in ifc will help with bb’s social development.

Weaning + Water intake at 8 months

Hi! FTM here. Can anyone share how much water to give 8 month old baby who is fully formula fed? As for weaning, what types of meal/food to give? I am quite stressed out as I am clueless how to prepare weaning food for baby. Does it take long to prepare? I am currently working full time, so on weekdays, I only have dinner time to let baby try weaning food. Will that be sufficient? I am afraid that I have delayed baby’s weaning journey. He is 8 months now and hardly try any variety of food 😭

Intimacy after child

It has been 8 months since I gave birth, but I never really felt desire to have sex, we have it like once or twice a month sometimes nothing at all, my husband feels like I’m losing interest on him or so on, I don’t know how to make him understand that, I don’t even know why I don’t have the urge to have sex.

Are you still breastfeeding? Same here. It’s cos of the hormones from breastfeeding.. we only did it once at 6 months PP and I still don’t feel like

Engorgement woes

Sigh! I’ve been struggling with terrible engorgement ever since going back to work. Before going back to work I was latching almost exclusively and pumping just once a day. Think my body is used to latching and her sucking is definitely stronger and more effective than the pump. When I wfo for just one day I immediately get engorged. I pump 4h intervals which is the same as her feeding intervals. It’s just so tiring to deal with painful boobs every week! Any tips? 😭😭😭 so unsustainable too cos I will rush home for her night feeds just so she can help me clear my boobs. Then proceed to do work again at night.

Removing smoke residue

Any suggestions on how to remove cigarette smoke residue / particles from clothing? Just washed baby's bedsheets and smoker neighbour started smoking while the bedsheets are hung at service yard to dry... I know effects of third hand smoke is as bad as second hand smoke... whether there is any remedy instead of having rewashing the bedsheets since I dunno if the neughbour will smoke again after rewashing. Not sure which neighbour smoking since we know there are a couple smokers living below or above us, so hard to approach anyone to tell them stop smoking at windows.

Eat well for newborn

Anyone tried the ear well before? There's a fold on the ear and the PD suggested to do an ear well.

Hi there, can I check whether did you apply ear well for your new born and at which week after birth? How long it takes? I have the same issue with my new born and considering doing it asap. Thanks

How much should baby eat at 8 months

Drink 900ml ( 5 feeds a day). I’m currently feeding him a one serving of solids/ puree a day of around 100ml. Thinking of adding another serving of solids a day. Should I reduce his milk intake to substitute the soilds fed?

I think till age of 1 y/o, we shldnt substitute milk with solids first. Their main source of food shld be milk till 1 y/o. For me, I currently giving him the same amt of milk as you daily with 2 solids/purée per day (lunch and dinner)

Introducing formula

My baby is 100% drinking breast milk now but I am going overseas for work for 6 days and I don’t have enough supply for baby for the whole duration. I tried to introduce formula but baby refused to drink it. I’m worried she might not have enough to drink while I’m away. Anyone has experience or tips to share when transitioning from breast milk to formula? #formulaadvice #weaning

I mixed bm & formula when transitioning. Eg if 100ml, 80ml bm: 20ML fm. Then slowly increase 50:50 then full bottle. I tried S26, grow and nan, she prefers Nan.
