Information on Dr. Wan Kai Jing (KKH)

Hi. I am currently under Dr. Samantha under private KKH. But since she’s is going to give birth soon, her colleague Dr. Wan Kai Jing will take over all her patients. I would like to ask if any of you have any experience with her? How is she like? Contemplating to change gynae as I have a clear birth plan that I want to go through during labour and I would be really disappointed if Dr. Wan wouldn’t want to go through with the plan. Your reply and input are much appreciated. Thank you.#pleasehelp

Maternity Insurance

For those in SG, I've been seeing many maternity insurance that are not from the bigger players like AIA, Manulife or NTUC. Has anyone bought and have experience with claiming? Is it a scam? 😅#advicepls

suggest you go with the bigger players for peace of mind. rather than not being able to claim when you truly need it

Developing Varicose Vein

I am 22 weeks pregnant & recently developing those veins on my left legs causing me pain & uncomfortable to sleep at night. Regular exercise/stretching , staying hydrated &raising legs might help - things I heard from my research 😂 Anyone have the same & what is your take?

I had it in my previous pregnancy and current pregnancy as well. Basically I did the same as you since no treatment can be done during pregnant. Just don’t stand or sit too long or anything that adds pressure to the leg. I totally understand the feeling! Hang on there

Perineal feels sore & swollen

Hi mummies, this is my second pregnancy. I've just entered 24 weeks pregnant. For the past few weeks, I've noticed that my perineal area feels sore and swollen. Whenever I wanna past motion, it hurts and sometimes having trouble to push it out. Has any mummies encountered this and what remedies can help reduce the soreness and swollen? I've never had this during my first pregnancy. So this is new to me. );

Best to check with gynae in case of any infection.

Nausea at week 23

Hello mummies, do you feel nausea or vomit after eating from week 23 onwards? My first 3 months were really bad as i kept vomitting everything i ate. But it got better when reaching my 2nd trimester. But now im at week 23, i started to vomit my lunch and my dinner again. Being the first time mum, im worried if its not normal. 😔

it’s normal, unfortunately some mummies have it all the way till delivery

21 weeks, cytomegalovirus (CMV) / Microcephaly

My husband and I went to the hostpital to get check for the baby gender which is on the 20 weeks, but then the doctor say my baby head is small which is 2 percentile, and its not confirm, either my baby is going to be normal or abnormal, I did blood test and turns out Im CMV IGG positive, but negative on toxoplasma and ecetra. I am very concern, Does anyone have the same problem? any advice? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby #AdvisePlease

Cramps ………

Im 22we now & normal to feel cramps frequently @ this stage ?

If your cramps come and go within that few minutes, might be contraction. Best to visit the hospital (A&E) to check and have a peace of mind.

Thick nuchal fold

Anyone had thicker nuchal fold at 20 weeks scan and delivered a healthy baby? Have you gone for any tests thereafter before delivery?

yes i have. no test after delivery as i did amnio.
