Private antenatal care but delivery in govt hospital

Hi, is there anyone here seeing a private gynae for their monthly scans but instead of engaging their private gynae for delivery went to deliver at govt hospital? I'm thinking of doing this as my private gynae delivery charges and as well as the private hospitals charges he's delivering at, are quite high. But I'm not sure how to go about it? Do I walk in the I govt hospital for delivery? Or do I at need to book a gynae at govt hospital?

book gynae at govt hosp for private rate, or request appt through polyclinic visit if you want a subsidized rate.

Red spot all over except mouth

Hiii Have any of you met such cases your 5months old baby having red spot ALL OVER BODY EXCEPT MOUTH? I can’t tell she’s itchy cause she dont know how to scratch but she keep should bending her body. 2 days ago i when GP clinic PROhealth and the doc have cream starts with letter ‘H’ . I cant remember the name. The cream doesn’t soothe her but spreads more and today it’s even more so i when to Nu medical centre at junction 10 and doc gave her oral medication for her ‘allergic, itchy and runny nose’ . So far she has only consume 1ml and i put cethaphil lotion on her. Still no sign of reduce spot. So the question is here… i dont know is the sign of allergic reaction? If yes dunno what the cause and to prevent. Poor baby:( help please

Does she have any allergy? It could be she might have hives, some unknown allergy or could be chicken pox. Most of the times it can be due to hot weather this happened. You might want to go back to the same doctor to get it check. Alternatively to go poly and they will advise further. I dont suggest hospital because it is expensive to do walk in. Meanwhile sponge down with cold towel, wear thin clothes, fan/AC on. Use Sebamed/Cetaphil product, then put on the prescribe cream and give medication.

Can my 7 month old eat 1 meal a day ( puree ) with 6x breastmilk 130 mls each time?

Should not be an issue if let say your baby can take it with not tummy fuss. Otherwise you can have puree twice a day and milk 6 times a day. Because puree is just to me small portion and pretty light. Depends what works best for your baby.

I found my self guilty for switch from bf to formula. But my son throwing up after bf. He hv eczma.

Hey mummy dont ever feel guilty when you do the switch of BM to FM. If it is for the benefit of health and well being of your little one then dont feel the guiltness. You are ensuring he is okay and he gets to enjoy milk while growing up. This is despite the eczema. You are doing your best.

My baby has been in formula for 5months and this poop is normal . Only sometimes watery sometimes dry 😊

I see the market selling 0-6month formular. How abt 7-12month formular? Is there any?

Depends what brand of milk you are looking for. There are brands from 0 to 12 months then next stage. Usuallt they sell as Stage 1, Stage 2, etc

Baby sleeps on stomach at night, is it safe? Pls advise

As long as not much pillow around you can have bby sleep side ways or tummy time sleeping position. However, be alert of their face position to avoid suffocation or unintended accident.

My baby woke up at 1 am, 230am to poop, and 4am to poop last night. He still awake after 4 am as i'm typing - 8 am now that's 4 hours. He usually sleeps between 5pm till 5 am (11pm milk and straight to sleep. 2 or 3 am poop, stay up for 1 hour and straight to sleep). He usually will start his day wake up at between 7-8am. Please help me. I don't know what's wrong with my baby. Feed him well, diaper clean and change every 3 hours, massage his stomach

Hi! For csect mummies, how many days after discharge that you open the wound dressing at home?

last i remember i had to clean the wound every 3 days until the stitches disappear.
