Thinking of going to SGH private from 20 weeks onwards - does anyone know if they have a maternity package similar to other private gynaes where it's $X amount for Y number of visits? TIA!

Yup, SGH KKH NUH all have packages from 20 weeks onwards.

At 9 weeks i feel like vomiting..does not feel like eating much.

Hi Mummies is there any remedies for me to.not feel like.vomittin and i dont eat much already.at 9 weeks now. Worried..if i eat less..will my baby be ok.

I did not eat much because no appetite throughout my whole pregnancy and lost about 10kg. However, I still continue to drink pregnancy milk and eat my supplements daily - like folic acid, DHA, multivitamin and calcium. Delivered a healthy 3kg baby 3 months ago 😁 Just try to eat food with nutritions even if it’s a little. Quality over quantity. Don’t worry!

I am at my 7th week. I keep having (bearable) abdominal pains throughout the day. Is that normal?

Abdominal pains

If the feeling is like menstrual cramp then it’s normal because your uterus is expanding and making space for your growing baby! You will still feel it as and when along the journey. Just take note that you are not bleeding or feeling any massive pain.

Traveling on week 35

I had booked a Europe tour next year which I probably will be in my week 35. Should I still be traveling? Worried about the cold weather and long flight

Week 35 but birthclub is in April 2025? Did you input your EDD correctly?

KKH appointment from poly referral

Hi, i am currently at week 7 and have not visited any doctors. I am planning to visit poly this Saturday to get a referral to KKH. Is it difficult to get an appointment with KKH subsidised route? Can I first book an appointment before getting my referral?

Is quite fuss free to get a referral to KKH. Just did mine. Book an appt with poly by calling to save time, they will sms you the KKH appt within 2 days.

Hi mamas! I'm 8 weeks preg. How do you cope with food aversions? The only thing that I can keep down is sour/tangy fruits. I cannot stand anything soupy or rich. I can't even smell bread. Any tips on how I can trick my sense of smell? 😅

well, maybe you're in the first term, ya, so a bit more sensitive. no worries, once you move on to the second term, most likely you are less sensitive over the smell and have better appetite. what my helper did to help me was to place a ginger slice on my wrist. Somehow, it works for me.

Hi is it ok to continue using normal facial wash, soap and shampoo during pregnancy?

Toiletries usage

Yes why not? I did not change my shampoo, body wash and facial wash during my pregnancy. I just use back the same. Just make sure your skin care products does not contain retinoids, salicylic acid in high dose.

Is it normal to feel sharp stabbing pain near your lower abdomen?

Hi there 👋🏻, i would like to know whether anyone also had experience sharp stabbing pain near your lower abdomen when you cough/sneeze/change of position? It doesnt happen always and if it does, it only lasted for few seconds.

I have the same, sometimes pain goes to the legs also. Just had my 6wk scan and all looks good. doc says those pains are expected as well if tolerable like period pains.

Less morning sickness

I am pregnant with my second baby and I notice that my morning sickness is not as bad as the first. I still get the occasional nausea but much lesser. I do feel other symptoms like being very tired and bloated. Just wondering if anyone had the same for their subsequent pregnancies. Could it be different gender baby? 🫣

I didn’t experience any morning sickness throughout the pregnancy. Guess every pregnancy is different.
